Hi all,

It's been a while!

I've got a question...

As some of you may know me and Andy (aka S3 Big Andy, aka Stealth Beast) are going on Modball (www.modball.com) next week, so I'm heading up to Andy's place soon to install a radar/laser detector, cb radio and possibly a USB hub (to power various GPS devices) into his S3. Alas I don't have an S3 any more, so I was wondering whether anyone knows where I could tap into a 12v power source in the S?

We're going to need around 7.5A for the CB and it's 50W amplifier, probably less than a couple of amps for the radar/laser and GPS devices.

It was easy enough in my M5, I'm hoping it's not going to be a mission in the S!

Thanks in advance!

Directly from the fuse panel is normally a good place, you can use a repair wire to insert into the back of the panel and then fuse it up properly.

fuses 1-11 are ignition fed & use spare slot with appropriate fuse rating, get a repair wire from audi & shove in the rear of fuse box & feed this to your required systems, then its oem style & also protects other systems as seperate feed mate, worst thing is blown fuse of shared system that affects car in a big way, then have no spare fuses, lol.
