Powerbass 3000d and a Digital Designs DD9515

nice n loud :)

I'm not going to give my honest opinion as that's not really to my liking, but each has his own taste so well done fella.

Just one observation, what is charging the battery in the boot and where is the hydrogen vent?
You are aware that lead acid batteries give off hydrogen when they charge?
BMW go to great lengths to ensure that the hydrogen is vented off outside the vehicle as the batteries are in the boot, otherwise the result may not be pleasant.

Black is negative by the way, maybe just put a ring of black tape around the cable to signify the earth.

That really does look awful, and in a repmobile too!

I daresay it is loud and sounds pretty good though, and as its your company car I daresay you do lot of driving so you get the benefit of it.

I don't like it though.

My mrs said 'Where is the shopping going to go!' I said I think there wil be no shopping....:o.k:

Back seat are for shopping! :)

simple question, why?

Because I love music basically - I used to do competitions in previous cars and love bass (i listen to everything from punk/rock to drum and bass).

Its not to everyones taste I agree but i love it

I have ran systems like this in the past without issue there is plenty of air movement in the car now as you can imagine so its take care of

Good on you for taking my comments as they were meant mate, not as criticism but just my opinion.:icon_thumright:

And I bet it sounds great:rock:

I have been doing this for 5 years - i know that not everyone likes it or sees the point but believe it or not this is a small system compared to my past installs - last one was 6 12" subs (thats a 15) and 9kw 6 batteries and a full PA front end - Car before that was a pair of 18" subs and 6kw

Im sure this isntall booms.. but Not really to my liking eaither. I used to compete in sound competitions, but SQ (sound quality) where the points are based on install, neatness, factory look and quality of the sound, they do take SPL count (your db output) but thats a really small part.

How many dB's you putting out?

IASCA or EMMA? i spent 2 years competing in dB Drag - last year I had a 157db Car and wont my catagory in the UK and came 4th in Europe at the world finals

I estimate its around 145db not had it tested yet though

I have to say i really don't like it. In my old A3 i had a 1000wrms 10" MTX thunder 9500, that was more than loud enough.

I can understand you like bass, but 3kw will drown out any chance of enjoying the quality of sound. It will just ensure you get tinnitus well before your time....

For a 15" sub its actually small - I have a trim panel on the left and on the front of the box to make it look like its the whole boot - its only around 4.5cuft
