What Exhaust ya runing?..A3 1.8T

Hi ya,im due for an exhust soon as mine is starting to blow.its the standard system at the mo.
Im looking to upgrade the system.i was thinking of having the supersprint boxless centre section with a performance backbox just for the sound??
So i just wanna see what systems/set up you lot have on your A3 1.8T's??
 
Standard here at the moment although I've been looking at Miltek catback systems (non resonated) or even looking at getting something custom knocked up. I dont want to cut my back valance really so want something with twin pipes that can sit under it.
 
Yeah im thinking custom jon so i dont have to cut the rear to,i like having the exhaust so you cant see it.

i did think of getting just a rear box as a whole system prob wont give any gains??

Sounds good mate,not sure about de-cat as ive got m.o.t coming up in july.

How much was it to get done?..also has it got the centre box or straight to rear box?
 
has got the leon cupra R center section de-cat and powerflow back box. cost around £200 fitted for the powerflow.
 
Oh so the Leon cupra exhaust system fits the A3??..

Yea along with the Golf Mk4 so ither will work. Maybe the Miltek catback from a Golf Mk4 as there cheaper and theres alot of them selling second hand going, Also fits better belive it or not....Alot tighter up in the bumper and not hanging down atall.:yum:
 
Does it matter what engine size the exhaust is from?..i.e if i got one from a Tdi or 1.6??..or is the 1.8T exhaust Dia different?

I would guess at if you were going for catback that it would be the same but id ask someone else as im not 100%

I also preferred to have a hidden neat looking back box like the diesels and so went to my local longlife exhaust centre and got a custom cat-back system with twin bent pipe back box which is awesum.

They are great, emailed them with what i wanted with examples and they gave me a quote.
Got to centre and they asked how loud i wanted it and later that day picked it up and loved it.
 
Anyone both one of them ss systems off ebay for £200???
 
I have a Milltek, had it for maybe 2 years or there abouts... Seems to be fine, I dont have any other experience with any others tho so cant compare it to anything.

Mine is non resonated.... I dont really like the loud exhausts and think it's a bit to chavtastic to me.

The one I have makes a great sound tho, really deep grumble when giving it some welly.

Would recommend it to anyone.
 
Mines the non resonated and sounds awesome with the De-cat on.....Makes a really nice tone! Especily between 3,000RPM and 4,000RPM after that all you hear is turbo :)
 
So the de-cat?/do i have to have a cat for the M.O.T?..its 1998 year.
