Looking at upgrading my B5 S4 with K04'S. Have got a good price from PrestigeEngine.co.uk, has anyone used them? Also, they said.. and I quote

"The RS 4 turbos we supply are genuine Garrett manufacture as supplied to Audi original equipment..".

Any ideas? :hi:
 
try asking on audisrs and rs246 - as many have gone this route / upgrade

you mean s4 yeah?
 
Never heard of them. What sort of price are they offering?

I think the cheapest you can get K04's now is in the region of £1800 for the pair from either the US or Germany (inc. delivery and taxes).
 
About £1700 inc vat for the pair. Is the guy right that they are infact Garretts? I'm not actually sure who built the OEM k04's. Thanks for your help.
 
Thought they was all made by borg warner apart from them new cheapo ones
 
The OE blowers are KKK turbos, which is now owned by borg warner. They are NOT garret turbos.

The name tells you as much. Garret blowers are usually named GTxx or Txx, KKK's start Kxx

Is that for brand new ones? Went on the website and they seem to specialise in refurbs.
 
I was offered them new, but they also offered me refurbd ko3's so I guess they do a bit of both!

wouldn't touch it without at least one real satisfied customer
 
There's a set of genuine new turbos on American eGay for <£1300. If you got away without paying import duty, these could work out a couple of hundred quid cheaper.
