today i got some new alloys on my car i went from 18 to 19 inch although it may be nothing to do with this on the way home on the motoorway as i slowed down my car was still reving at 2000 revs even when i stopped when i pressed the brake it came back to normal ....when slowed AGAIN at the next lights it done it again does anyone no why is it because ive gone up an inch with alloys ???? NHN HELP ME OUT BUD

On my golf, i went from 15" to 19" and that was fine.

But i did have revving issues with the engine and i had to change the temp sender and replace the throttle body as the butterfly flap didnt work properly.

Bring it round my gaf this weekend and I'll stick it on vagcom for you.

I'm going out on friday so sat afternoon/evening would prob be best bet! lol

well i did get a cut out swich on the feul pump about a month ago and the car has been running fine i wonder if its that

theres more pics on the rs6 wheels thread when i get it lower with in 2 week il post some proper pics looks really nice in the flesh

just had roadside assissance out he said its an airleek on the turbo does that mean its blown..... lol got to take it in to audi manchester tommoz and get a hirecar

OMG i love those wheels, look like RS4s but a little different ?

they are rs4 reps but the spokes kinda come out then curve in to the middle

Just wondering if its a dodgy accelerator given its holding revs intermittantly & DBW thats only cancelled by braking, I'm not a mechanic just thought process, so a leak on the turbo causes revs to hold, thats sounds a little far fetched to me, my turbo is whiney which could denominate a worn turbo but never had revs held, can someone advise about turbo leak & revs holding cause thats new to me

the audi guy checked vagcom and he said its an airleek from the turbo,,, the revs on there own were going up to 2000 then coming down below 1000 and borping like it was gona cut out, then up again and down again get my drift, it was weird it seemed like the pressing the brake was sorting it for a second but must of been coinsidence...
full power wasnt there also it was lagging i though **** these wheels are heavy lol but turns out its the turbo im taking it to audi tommoz and getting a car off them ......:sob::sob::banghead:
