Anyone seen or read anything about tuning the V6 TDI motors?

I've seen the basic tuning boxes etc for them, but i'm thinking more along the lines of bigger nozzles, turbo upgrades etc?

I've managed to uncover a company in finland that do uprated nozzles for it, but they dont really seem to say how much power i would be expecting to get from it with these and with/without a larger turbo...

I've heard that a remap on most turbo diesels normally provide good gains, have you checked Superchips website.

Yer, the problem is the engine uses a rotary VP44 pump. Not the shiney PD injectors that the newer 1.9 motors use. That means the remappability of the engine is only possible to around 200-210hp on standard parts (based on the 180hp AKE engine). Just like tuning the non-PD 1.9 motors is a lot more involved than the later PD versions.

With a larger blower and some uprated nozzles 250-300hp should be possible, and while the parts are available, i cant really find any details of anyone who's done it.

diesel-service in finland seem to sell some "bosio race 683" injectors for the engine, which i presume are suitably uprated over the standard parts, however they dont give any further details on how much power is available, and what turbo is required to attain it.
