could i have your opinion pls. i saw a nice set of R8 alloys on ebay. and wondered what you lot think would they suit the car or not. the pic is my sig below. cheers for your time. hope money comes through soon hehe

i don't think they'd suit the b5 - the wheels are very "spindly" with thin spokes, and i think without big brake discs they'd look a bit daft. i've seen similar 5-spoke wheels on TTs and i don't think they suit that, either. flat-faced, or wheels with a large surface area, seem to suit the b5 much better. in my opinion of course! 
its a trow up between the R8 or the RS6 style ones which are bigger ones to mine. your opinion counts as i've not got a clue.

There are 17 and 18" versions of the wheels you already have, as fitted to A8's which i think look really good.
RS6's are done to death, although i recon B7 RS4's do look good on the B5, see ALPINE's thread just a few below this for some pics of his car with RS4 rims.

yeah my 18" b7 rs4 reps are the flatter type - not really my preference but at 400 all in with tyres i can't complain. i think i still prefer the s8 18" i had on previously (although the lacquer perished on them, and they're common as muck nowadays)

actually, that doesn't look too bad - especially showing off the mahoosive calipers up front. not sure how std discs and calipers would look though - a bit like the rears on that pic, i suspect.

brendan i know its a cheak put could you photoshop the s8 ones just so i can see what they look like mate. when i do decide i'll have to sell mine to get some money back. an send on the next part hehe
it's not very clean (only old pic i could find in a hurry!) but you get the idea. if it wasn't for the lacquer failing i'd have 'em again...
Guess stub didnt like them brendan, I do and thinking about getting a set, would suit the A3 i think. I was going to go for BBS style reps CH or LMs but hell everyone is getting them....Ba Ba Black Sheep.
