Custom sub bench for sale

As I'm selling my A3 I've got a few bits that I'm selling off seperately.
Amongst them is a subwoofer 'bench' that replaces the back seats.
I built it because I used my car mainly for work so I needed the boot space but I also wanted a couple of loud 10" subs in there too.
It took me quite a while to make, it is very sturdy and looks pretty good.

If you just want the bench and subwoofer enclosure then I'll take £45.

If you want both the Sony XS-L104P5B 1200W Subwoofers too then it'll be £90.

This will only fit A3s perfectly [and probably S3s too?]

BTW I designed it to be anchored down using the side seatbelt mount points so it's nice and safe :icon_thumright:
 
Who in the right mind would remove there seats and fit two subs???? Reminds me of chavs in novas....

Whats the point in saying that. Some people annoy me on this forum......if your going to say something nasty or offensive keep it to your self. constructive criticism is fine but then theres just being a nob!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
i personally dont mind the fact that you have removed the back seats for the sub....however, it is moving onto the 'boyracer' image..... im actually thinking of changing my car if im honest....

the S3 has always been a good looking, subtle hot hatch..... but some ive seen have completely ruined them, fitting silly after market back lights and stupid off the wall mods that take the car into the Impreza territory - lets face it, we can stereo type most impreza drivers now since they have evolved and become more affordable - its such a shame that people cant leave the S3 alone with subtle mods to enhance its looks (ie black grill surround, LCR splitter) - rant over

realise im leaving myself open here - just my genuine thoughts

I belive i can say what i think about what ever i want, call me a nob if you wish. My point still stands, you've got to be a muppet to remove the rear seats of a car and fit 2 subs.

well fair enough entitled to your opinion regarding it, but labelling some one a muppet for doing what they want to THEIR car doesnt really sound reasonable to me mate.

we all have our own thoughts and opinions on everything and if to rip out the back seats and install bass is what you want then why not??

dont see how its boy racer either?just how some people like to enjoy listening to their music.

Enjoying there music???? You mean making it sound crap?

Each to there own and all that but I think its a ***** idea and thats that!
 
why remove the seats , why not just fill the boot with a box and leave the back seats in ????? if thats what you want......

lol just skimmed through it but why put work stuff in the boot and have a pair of speakers on show all the time??? Just use the back seats as a boot and then when your not working the car is a 4 seater still ????

bit easier to get tools out the boot i would think??maybe dont need the seats at all my back seats are hardly ever used, im thinking of putting a roll cage in??? lol I JOKEEE:rockwoot:

with un wanted comments like that your being the muppet as i cant see many people who read this thread to want to voice there opinion on a thread you may start in need of some advice, i certinaly wont

I find you very narrow minded, if you don't have anything nice to say then don't bother posting anything.

Like I originally said, I didn't use my back seats at all as I only used my car for work however I wanted to upgrade my sound system. I don't think that warrants being labeled a 'chav', grow up please.
 
Doesnt the A3 have a well under the seats where the subs could have gone rather than have them in plain view like that?

Or maybe the rear qtrs and smaller subs used for the stealth approach. Props to you for the work as you made them for a very specific reason, i however can't see you selling it too easilly ,just my £0.02 worth

dunno mate, im just considering at the minute..... would love a newer shape S4/RS4 or maybe M3, have other priorities at the moment but doesnt stop me wanting:meeting:.... thing is every car has its day regardless, yes there are a few that touch a car from new, but there are cars that shouldnt be messed with IMO and the S3 is one of those...... it isnt a chav chariot, although i can see it becoming one in the future - sorry if this sounds snobby :icon_thumright:

Hi Bryzan, yep it does and I did actually consider that, however the subs were too deep and I was told that for the best sound quality I should have them in a properly calculated enclosure.
They weren't so easily seen anyway tbh because my tints conceal everything in the back end of the car :happy:
 
:hubbahubba:i think this is a great idea, if it wasnt for the face that my rear seats are used for 2 children, i would do somethink along the same lines, as you need a boot, and if you dont use your rear seats, then why not. and why do people have to slate other people for doing what they want to their car, just because you personally dont like it,

Your post doesn't make sense mate? I've removed the back seats in my Rocco, mainly because its pointless them being there as you cant really fit anyone in the back. And yes, i have replaced the rear seats and boot with a custom install, fibreglassing, carpet, amp, sub, power cap because i enjoy my music.
I'm 30 years old and i dont go cruising to Southend sea front playing my music for everyone else to hear, its just for me to enjoy!

So does this make me a CHAV?

I'm not the only one that has these views on this forum, i've said this before. Some people just dont have good manners...
