Hi,have been given a set of b7 s-line 17's with 700 mile old 235/45zr17w dunlop sports. Now the alloys i love, but the tyres bug me because the sidewall height seems too great. If i change to 40 profile then should i still use 235?

What size is recommended?:uhm:

Cheers

pretty sure they should be 235/40 anyway

Mine are 235/45/17 but they came off a B6 Cab. IIRC, 225/45 is the right size for the B5. I have been wrong before though!

This is a handy link for a calculator.

Thanks for the info guys,it seems they are the correct radius so will stick with them for now.

The original audi tyres (205/55r16) have a diameter of 632mm, your 235/45r17's are 645mm so are slightly larger afaik the audi OE size for 17's was 225/45r17 and that size is used on both the S4 and 1.8TQS (and has a diameter of 634mm)
