I think you need to testdrive it to make your decision Faz, You have an MTM stag3 ***, I can't see it being that much quicker than yours to warrant spending the extra monies, and I would be suprised it can out handle your current car... the choice and money is yours at the end of the day. ;)
 
it will be much quicker than an mtm stage 3, id snap it up now if had the money, sounds like you do

yeah guess it need to be driven but it must be alot faster then my current car!472 bhp in the same chassis and a totally different power delivery.MTM stage 3 is very quick and impressive but that has to be something else im not sure of torque in nm but it should be around the 430 440 NM i guess! My one is currently producing 345BHP 345FT-LB but i am not solely looking to buy the car because of it being faster just like the car and think it is awesome but guess it will need to be be test driven!
 
i went out in the MTM S3 and shat my pants! lol if your going to get this beast i dont know whats going to happen if i go out in that! lol

Mental car, i would take it for a test drive, if it handles well i would offer him £15k max in this financial climate.
 
sorry to upset you guys but ive been talking to one of the guys who built that car, not kim. He said it was one of the most crap handling cars ever. Way to much weight up front. He also said a few more things about but cant remember off the top of my head?!

its obvious to anyone that the car will be nose heavy!but that will only really matter on the track.Hows the evo anyway chap?
 
Apparently kim did nothing on that rs4 s3 it was all the people who worked for him!! Evo's going well had it on the rr yesterday, made 500bhp atf on the gt3076. Its making way for a 35r next week tho! looking at 600bhp!
 
good stuf ed. you seem alot happier with the evo than you ever was with the s3
 
i do admit i miss the comfort of the s3, the evo is very very tiring to drive!! but on the other hand jeez it's rapid!! ive decided in a few years im getting a rs4 4.2 when the prices are a bit lower!!
 
yea best of both worlds with the rs4 at the mo. they are dropping so rapidly inprice. you not interested in m3's or anything then ed?

Well who ever did do what ever on it,its a machine!Yeah few lads here have evo's pushing some silly power!you use it as a daily driver?
 
not really m3's are way to common! and i also like having 4doors!! Only use the evo at weekends, far to expensive on fuel as a daily driver!
 
I own a fully MTM'd and I can say the work they have done on it is absolutely amazing,MTM all the way there prices maybe a little higher but you get what you pay for.I am a BIG fan of MTM!!

im not sure whether to agree with you guys..... hear say has to have come from somewhere it doesnt just 'surface'..... what will be will be , otherwise opinions would never be allowed to be expressed causing potential issues for someone down the line (in the case of advertising a bad mechanic)..... if stories appear as if from nowhere its upto that person to qualify what is being said, if they dont wish to do this then you have to ask a question... faz you have the benefit of knowing this chap, thats your plus point....most of us dont have that luxury
 
i work in a local garage and my boss isnt to clued up when it comes to cars either as its not something he has qualified in he's just a manager but in the workshop we are all very good and clued up on cars, so if someone who knows about cars came in and saw just the manager they could come to the same asumption as ed has with mtm, but the truth could be far from that as the man who bosses everyone around dosent normally do the work
 
Yea the guy who used to work for him really knows his stuff as do most the other people who work for qst!! Just not sure kim does!! he gets other people to do his own personal tuning put it that way!

Guys I've moderated this thread, - We're all for discussion and debate, however some / most of the posts I've moderated where hear say and conjecture.

As a couple of members said its easy to destroy a reputation on hearsay. If anyone has some factual information that they would like to share with the forum and open up for debate, then please start another thread in the correct area.
