Hi all just had my car serviced everything done including cambelt water pump, haldex, brakes etc

The guy who serviced it told me bits that were wearing etc,

My rear tyres are getting low, so going to replace these next weekend, whats everyones choice on tyres?

Also one of my LED is out on my high level brake light are they easy to repair? as in just push a new one in?

Also i had a fault code come, up boost pressure control valve malfuction,i think it was N249 i have a hand written report somewhere but dont have it on me now, what is this? my recirc valve is leaking so im going to replace this is this the same thing?

could this be my over revving problem between gear changes he tested my clutch pedal switch it was fine but said it could be intermittent as it was fine,

Sorry for the basic questions but new to it all and am getting all the things sorted, thanks

Hi all Is the n249 valve the standard dump valve? or is it another thing im a bit confused>?

As im getting a fault im going to change it asap and also i i think i have a boost leak or broken dump valve as it chatters quite loud which i know is not meant to be, but if not i will order both as well as get all my boost pipes checked even though they were the other day,

N249 - Diverter Valve Control Solenoid

The N249 is the valve that controls the vacuum/boost signal to the dump valve telling it when to open

iirc, when you change the DV to aftermarket, you can get a N249 mechanical failure.

some also bypass the N249 if you want.

Start by changing the DV, check your pipes and clear the fault codes. Then see what happens

Thanks for that, very helpful, i almost 100% certan my dump valve is knackered as i get what sounds like compressor surge at low boost all the time and at full boost it sounds almost like an non recirc valve quite loud,

So this could be causing the N249 to get fault codes?

Like you say i will replace the dump valve this week and check all pipes again,i have a revo remapped s3 iknow people suggest the forge but i also heard standard is ok just wont last as long? where could i order aone from online? or have to go to Audi? thanks again for your time,
