..........without vagcom. i have the IN2 service light on and the car has been serviced. its a 96 A4 turbo sport.

cheers

On my car an audi s3 8l, you have to hold down the milage trip reset button. Turn on ignition and press the left button which does all the sensor checks.

hey, thanks that worked :d but the beeping is still there, but it doesn't say Service! anymore.. how do i turn off the beep as well?

There shouldn't be a beep if the mileage for next service has been reset. When you press the spanner button, you should get a mileage till next service. That should have reset to 10,000 miles or 365 days. If it hasn't the reset by button pressing didn't work.

You might need to take it to a garage with a code reader and reset tool. Look up Bosch service garages near you, they will be a lot cheaper than Audi and have all the necessary computer systems to check your problem

well my a3 doesn't have the display, it only displays service when it reckons it needs a service or normally it will simply display OK!

haha

and now it doesn't display service anymore, so i reckon the buttons worked but the beep still there

or take it quick fit and pull someone to the side and say ten quid to you if you reset it with the hand held device they have...
