My Audi Cabriolet currently has a 2.0 8v engine and I am looking to replace this with a 2.3 10v engine that I have recently purchased. I was wondering if anyone has done this (or similar) conversion and if so, is there anything major that I should be aware of...?

I have new ECU, full wiring loom, new radiator and pipes. I was going to leave the 5 speed box in and was wondering if this was likely to cause any problems..?

Thanks in advance...

Chris.

I have converted a number of B2, B3 and B4 cars without any issues.

Worth noting though, your Cabriolets a very well-built, heavy car.

You won't see an appreciable increase in performance, despite the fact you're going from 115 - 133PS.

I'd have dug deeper, and either gone for a 2,3 20V.

Or even better, a 3,6 / 4,2L V8 (250 / 280PS).
