Finally got my new dream shoes fitted, and if I do say so myself they look damn good! The pics really don't do them justice, they're awesome, so well finished and really pop when the sun hits them.

They're a 9x19" wheel off a Bentley Continental GT, fully forged lightweight 2 piece split rims, they weigh ****** all. Running 225/35/19 tyre stretched on, so far no scrubbing at all anywhere.

Not gonna be to everyones taste, but definately are mine, getting ready to hit the shows big next year! Enjoy!

Liking them very much.

Only thing I'd address would be the "B" logo, I'd get some suitable OEM Audi centres.

Top choice though.

Looking good mate - didn't think it would work when I read the title, but I actually like them! Very Bling :)

very nice, too blingy for me, but gives ya car a fantastic stance

No i really really like that...and id have to disagree with siena and say keep the B cos i think it looks top notch. Good job there m8

the wheels look bling makes the whole car look more chunkier?

i agree with Siena, get some suitable audi centre caps.

also you need the chrome mirrors now then its complete!

other than that mate well done fella! :applaus:

The amount I paid for the B badges I'm keepin em! It's a dub thing, not everyone follows. Also they're a funny fitment, haven't found any others to fit properly, they clip in, then you remove those to get to the bolts for the aluminium centre caps, which you remove to get to the wheel bolts. Keeps everything hidden, smooth and tidy which I like. Love the stance to, sits nice and wide, I'm going more show than go for next year, so suits me great!

if you paid a decent wedge might as well stick with them!

noggy blue and silver/chrome has always been a bling combo! liking it alot.

PS. My BBS CHs now up for grabs. See classifieds.

actually, the more i see of them, the more i like them, its just the centres are too full if ya know what i mean

Hopefully you'll see it around Steve, looks way better in person!

that looks the danglys!! Ill go with you on the B badges, Fellow dubber myself i hear ya on that 1. would love to see it it person! i like a bit of different!! but you lot already know that!

B badges are def staying, just like people running merc rims, porsche rims, all in the name of oem+

I like the B's

dude you have had an expensive month with the recaros and now the bentleys! car is looking fresh!

You could say that, I'm all spent up for now! But will that stop me.....does it stop anyone?! Got a few more things planned for the winter, getting her all ready for hitting the shows next year.

It's in the pipeline, just need to hold up on the spending, for a week at least......

I've got a couple of places I'm looking into, just waiting to hear back price wise. Not just the roof either, I'm becoming a bit of a carbon whore, just without going over the top and ruining it.

PIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMP!!!!!!!!!!!!

way cool liking them a lot. thought has crossed my mind in the past (being into vedubbs) but gallardo rims look cool too:racer:

I like the rims, and it does look phat with them on, however i dont like the stretched tyres...

I cant imagine it must feel very nice with the tyres stetched out like that, its also likely past the tyres maximum allowed wheel size for their type approval meaning if you happened to stack it your insurance company could deny the claim, might also be worth checking if Mr Rozzer can do anything about it, because getting pulled for 4 "illegal tyres" would mean a ban...

Certainly on the roads around here the rims would last about 10minutes with tyres like that fitted.

Cant you fit some proper 245+ tyres on there? I presume it would catch on the rear arches if you did?

One word dude...F'ING AWESOME......i know thats two words but hey...they are worth both! Love em'!

The wheels look awesome, just watch those kerbs :sob:

I am pretty sure you can only get one fixed penalty if you were stopped, you cannot get a ticket for every tyre.

You would receive one fixed penalty for any tyre offences, and then reported for summons to court for any further offences.

WOW!!!

The whole car now just looks AMAZZZIIIINNGGG!!!!!

You should get some of those posh wheel centres which revolve as the wheel turns so the B is always upright :anbet:

my buddy got 6 points for having 2 bald boots!

I will find a definitive answer tomorrow and let you know. I'm not too proud to admit if I was wrong......!

i was also sure that you got 3pts for each bald tyre...

I dont know if the coppers could actually do anything in this case, but i'd imagine if they are too wide the tyre manufacturer would say the tyres are fitted incorrectly and that they're not approved for use on the road when fitted incorrectly (just like fitting a 15" tyre to a 16" rim), and that would then be the same as fitting tyres with the wrong load index (which is illegal).

I've just checked toyo's data for a 225/35r19 tyre and the maximum rim width is 9" so you could well be ok from a legal standpoint there, its worth checking your particular tyres manufacturer to be sure, however i note the load index is "88" which means 560kg, i would check your axle weight limits on the vin plate, as if either axle is over a 1120kgs gross (and i'm sure the S4 is...) then those tyres ARE illegal on that axle!

Wider tyres would also protect those rims from potholes and kerbs much better, and i'd imagine you've spent a lot on them, so wrecking them over a pothole or kerb isnt something your going to relish!

I'd love some revolving badges, think it's only rolls royce that do that though, but you've got me thinking now!

As for the tyres it's a bit of a legal grey area, did loadsa research on wheel-whores.com and they've really not got anything on you, nothing illegal about stretch, the tread is all well within the arch. Fittting wider ones isn't really an option cos of clearance issues, especially with the suspension, fitting bigger would mean more spacing and the wheels sticking even further out. People have been doing it for years and never really suffered any major problems at all, just gotta keep an eye on tose curbs and potholes though, can't deny that.

Nope, can't make my mind up on those.

Very trick and all that, but I think I prefer the last wheels you had.

Stretched tyres give you a much smaller contact patch.

The contact surface of 225's on 9" wide rims is less than that of 195's on 6,5" rims.
I have driven Golfs with stretched tyres, and they can be peculiar in the wet.

Reducing the contact patch on tyres fitted to an AWD car as heavy as an S4 isn't a good idea. Very easy to break traction going round a damp roundabout at moderate speeds.

Could be fun.....I'll be aware of that, spoke to plenty of people, varying opinions, I've not driven it much since fitting anyways, I'll see how it goes, if it doesn't feel good, I'll be sure to make some changes. Bring on the winter.....

check the load index mate. Afaik the S4 has a 1150kg front and either 1100 or 1130kg rear (depending on saloon/avant iirc)

If thats correct it means the front tyres are in effect illegal, because they dont meet the required load index for the axles gross weight... rear may or may not be ok depending on your exact plated weight.

Not wanting to be a spoilsport, just dont want you to get ****** over by an ******** copper.

Looking in my handbook the max front axle weight is 1120kg, and the rear 1030kg, so i should be safe....but got me worried now, I never even thought about load index, I ran the same Falken tyres for years before, all be it a 235 with a slightly hgher load index of 91, but more within reason.

Is this something for me to be overly concerned about? The handbook can get rid of the coppers, but am I gonna be fine running these, are the figures well within safety limits,or is it a serious problem?

Check the vin plate, not the hand book, if the vin plate agrees with your handbook figures you should be fine from a legal standpoint. Eibachs website claims 1150 for the front and 1100 for the rear of a saloon S4, with lower figures for lesser models.

It basically means that if the car was fully loaded you'd be on the tyres load limit. What that means in real terms i dont know, perhaps the tyre would get hotter or something and be more likely to fail. I guess its the same idea as the speed index.

I would also imagine that tyre pressures are far more critical than they would otherwise be due to the low profile and stretchedness

Well thankfully there's pretty much only ever me in it, and it never gets driven hard either, just cruising really, with a spot of hasty overtaking! I'm gonna keep a close eye on them though. Looked through a number of sites with people running similar set-ups etc. also emailed a couple of people, one running the same on an A6 avant, another the same on an S4 in the states, both with the same rims and tyres, neither have had any problems at all, so that' reassured me. Also posting on wheel whores for advice too and all has come back positive so far.

I see the point all you guys are making and I thankyou, some don't understand, fair enough, but each to their own. I'll see how they go and inform you of anything, bad and good, come time for some new rubber a reassessment will be made.
