thanks... well its not hte smoothest ride but ive only just got it back... i know it'll need shocks soon enough, i wanted to put in some new ones at the same time but the cost would have been a lot more.. so ill do that in the near future... but i suppose its better than feeling like you're sitting in a van or truck or something like it did before it was dropped.

Will be loads better with some good shocks.Wonder how long the SE ones will last with a 45mm drop.
Keep us informed.

wel... the shocks didnt last very long lol, any minor bumps and it would be eating at my tyres... so i've ordered a set from dpm hopefully get them soon... last night was really bad when i had ppl in the back, there were bits of my tyre everywhere!

i just ordered a set of weitec to go with the springs, cant wait to get them, should be good when they're on...

The difference is unbelievable without them SE shocks. It should ride and handle very nice.
Have you changed the rear arb for the RS4 one?

no i havent... is it a big job and how much am i looking at for the part? im trying not to go to the mechanic too much, costs an arm n a leg!!!

Its an easy change i think its only 6 bolts,4 holding the rubbers and one at each end.It takes about 30 mins to do it.
I cant remember the price but its around £70-£80 delivered from vagparts for the bar and new rubbers.Makes a massive difference too.

Your car looks well but change the alloys to the RS6 5 arm in 19", will suit it to a tee!!

yeah i need to change the alloys, but would prefer to sell the ones i have first, or at least line up a buyer.. i was thinking the rs4 style ones on a b7? the rs6 are too common, or i might just buy something different altogether.

ill look into changing the arb, anybody have any part numbers? costs?
thanks...

Rs6 look great but are far too common.I would get something different than Audi reps.

yeah that's what i was thinking, i want something simple, but cant seem to find anything i like, i did like the rs4s but i saw them on an a4 n didnt quite look the same lol, so yeah ill have to keep looking...

Yeah the only new RS4's I like are the originals and they cost a fortune!!
The RS6's do look nice on Silver though but they are like said very common.

There is actually some RS4's but they are like a 3rd edition which look more better, they are a cross between the Rs4's and the Q7 alloys (which look similar to the RS4's.

The spokes goes flush to the edge and IMO look loads better than the RS4 reps but very similar indeed. These were a one of my first choices before I had another few choices...

I had some of them Nouvolari's wheels.Looked nice at first but soon got bored of them, not sure why because they are a decent looking wheel.
I wouldnt get the black inserts,i saw them on an A4 and looked ***** and if you kerb them they will cost a fortune to repair because of the finish.

i like those rs4s j7uss, not too sure about those Nuvolaris though... i think i personally should go for something simple, either 5 or 6 spoke nothing more than that, thats my personal choice though, im yet to find something that i like lol

There you go Evil, Gives you an Idea!!

cheers j7uss, i like them but on the car they look like rs4's wi the tips blackened from a distance eh? Look good though i think. They do only come in 17 or 18" unfortunately.

I want something different but not too wild that they clash with the A4's shape, something slab-sided...

Yeah its hard to actually pick a set, took me ages mate.
The Rs4's are nice, Ill dig out a pic of an A4 with them actual ones on...

@ Evil - They do look very similar to the old RS4's, I didnt like them at first but on certain colours they look ok.

You wanna find a simple alloy that is rare to the B6. Loads about but again its tough choices when you gotta spend all them Pennies!!!

its too hard to decide, so much about but i dont want to make the mistake of buying something just to regret it later... im gonna wait a little while before i stick some alloys on (until i get my student loan!) then i'll ave to take a look...

on another subject, i've just fitted my dump valve n it sounds alright, only took around 20 mins, quite please with it... took me 3 weeks to get around to it lol! i think ive fitted it in the correct way, not sure, somebody might be able to let me know?

i did fit it both ways, but it didnt sound quite right the other way...
i hope ive got it right, just managed to get my hands clean!!!

they look crazy! i like the look of them a lot, but think they suit your car a lot more than they would suit mine, being a convertable and in black! lucky lucky fella!!!

If I ever do get a Cab Nology then Im affraid your gonna have a Twin cruising around the UK.

If I had a Cab then thats how I'd want mine to look.:respekt:

I like them. What size do they come in? It looks like 19's on the picture??

hello all,

well i had my new shocks fitted, weitec again to go with the springs... the car drives so much nicer! i love the hard feeling, love being able to feel all the bumps on the road... i cant wait to be able to test it out properly once i've had my timing belt/chain done... trying not to drive the car too much until after i get that done...

but yeah, the new shocks are brilliant, car feels transformed!
