A3 S/back Discounts?

Just wondering what you guys have been achieving or what the latest news is in relation to discounts.

I'm potentially looking to buy the following spec for the wife utikisiing her company car allowance..

Black 2.0tdi DSG 140 S Line
Lthr
Xenons
Reverse sensors.

No idea on the discount but i love the fact that you're spending her allowance for her! Good man, don't trust the little lady to choose a car lol

We have an arrangement - she does the ironing....................:)

Truth be known she has her eye on the 335D so its a distraction tactic !!
 
We managed 7% on my company S3 Sportback. They were only going to give 4% at first. Sportbacks in general are more popular, so you probably won't get as big a discount as you would on the 3-dr.
 
Anyone tried drivethedeal.com or know much about them?

They seem to give quite reasonable discounts. Another place to look is leasing/PCP firms, they'll quote a list price and the discounted price you end up paying the finance on. The RBS one, Freeway, I think does this.

You can normally get the dealer to match broadspeed, coast2coast etc plus you have the added convience of using a local dealer.

Get some online quotes for finance as well and take them to your dealer. They make money on pretty much everything so there is some movement.

I bought mine through Autobytel. They give genuine discounts and are very helpful. Also you deal with a main dealer. Only downside is you may have to travel for your car, but then again if you are saving 3-4K on book price its worth it I think

Our A3 was ordered through DrivetheDeal last year; delivered by the dealer on the back of a lory (luckily, since we're on the south coast and the dealer was in Scotland :faint:)

After the inital order was placed online (10.5% discount IIRC) all other contact, including payment, was direct with the dealer, who couldn't have been more helpful :icon_thumright:

Dundee Audi :icon_thumright: Having said that, when the car went into our local dealer to have euro plates fitted (we forgot to specify them from new) it was 'rebranded'; new tax disc holder and key rings with Worthing Audi on them :)

Cheers Guys - still waiting for my preferred dealer to come back with a decent price but no rush from my perspective, I'll badger him at the end of this month when new reg sales have slowed down.
