Squeaky Armrest Is Doing Ma Nut Right In

I have a squeaky armrest. Sounds daft eh? No laughing matter I can assure you. Everytime I put my arm on it the ****** thing goes creeeeeekkkk squeakkkkkkkkk.

Any idea how the hell I can resolve this? Anybody else got problems with it? It seems to eminate just from the latch. Pain in my bahooky.

Rip the ****** out?

Mine does it, im sure they all do it. Thats because its on a crappy plastic hinge, so its unavoidable I reckon.

My mate leans on it to get out an im like :scared2::angrymod: everytime he does!!
 
Look under the cover.
In the part facing the gear lever there are two small circular gum pads.
When the lid is closed they rub aginst the hard plastic of the armrest basement and squeal.
Just lube them a bith with a micro drop of vaseline or cover the hard plastic part where they rub with a black adhesive tape.
 
This is happening to me at the moment, car is under warranty so it's going in on Tuesday, hopefully the will give me a nice courtesy car!
 
Is your motor just going in for the squeaky armrest or are you having other bits done? Mine is under warranty as well but the Audi garage is 200kms away. Might take it to the imbeciles at the VW garage and see what they say.

I will try putting some of that **** bandit cream on it in the meantime.
