Removed my tdi and a4 badge today and used autosmart tardis to remove the glue but there still remains some edges to the badges and you can still see where they were.

The car is a black 53 plate any one got any ideas?

I had the same problem, glue came off but left a fine edge, I used a hard rubber disc to scrap it off then gave it a good wax!

i good polish will get it looking good, maybe a bit of t-cut or some g3 cutting compound

well i've tried my blackfire poly clay and my rotary with some menz 3.02, I'll have to test the paint thickness and try carry on polishing down

J7uss sory don't know you real name, what was the hard rubber disc you mentioned?

I had the same problem too. I managed to get mine off with T-Cut and a towel which offers a more abrasive surface to remove the glue. Then a few nice coats of polish.

I could be lacquer overspray if the car has had a cheap paint job?

Its a Rubber wheel which you put in the end of your drill and Spin it off!
Most bodyshops use them, its soft-ish rubber which wears down but it works wonders for the stubborn parts. you just have to be careful you dont press too hard. Giving it a good buff will do it but takes longer, having to be careful you dont cut through.

ok i'll keep going at it then, the car all appears original paint from the readings i've taken so I don't think it's overspray
