This has been discussed before but I always found my S3 wheel lacking, it just wasn't chunky enough and I feel it let down the feel and quality of the rest of the interior.
For obvious reasons the relationship between you and your steering wheel is a very tactile one, and for me that is important, just as important as a comfortable driving position, that's why I looked for a replacement.

I always loved the R32 wheel, it was chunky, sportier, well designed and instantly improved my driving enjoyment, it just felt...for want of a better term, 'perfect'.

The more I thought about it, the more I fell out with the standard S3 wheel and the more I wanted an R32 wheel in my life again, so I made it happen.

Now, a couple of people thought it looked (I won't repeat the explitives and uncalled for criticism by a certain member) naff and indeed i struggled to locate a decent audi badge of the right diameter to cover up the VW badge on the airbag so I ended up using a stick on wheel centre in brushed aluminium which looked ok and in the flesh many people didnt give it a second glance.
I also sourced a new S3 wheel badge and replaced the R32 badge on the rim, the airbag plugged straight in.

Shameless plug : Its now up for sale.

So if you feel your A3 or S3 wheel is too thin and lacking decent feel then this is definitely for you, I guarrantee you will love it.

£250 for the wheel and airbag plus p&p.

Its basically a thicker pre-facelift steering wheel with flatter side am i right? Would love that in my A3!

i have a facelift model steering wheel, i want to change the s3 badge as it is scratched. where would i be able to buy a new one from and how do i remove the old one?

The old one just prises out, be careful though.

They were available on ebay from a german seller for about £12 but not sure if they are still available, other than that, from the dealers?
