GTI International 2008 - 21st & 22nd June

Yipee...I wont be the only 8P there like last year on the Sunday, oh actually there was an 8P S3 turned up later-my bad:(:icon_thumright:
Fancy a couple of runs down the sprint together Ju-can compare the different ways of launching the old DSG???

Don't know if I'm up for blasting down the strip, I'll get too nervous and manage to stall an automatic:undwech: then again It'll make a nice change hearing 2 proper engines blasting off together:icon_thumright:

I think i "may" give it a go. I was there last year but got hacked off wading, lol

Is it too early to book? As i couldnt find the link on the site, maybe its just me, old an stuff lol

I can't find it either...maybe too early?

What's the craic with Porsches...no mention of them...am I going to be allowed to park on the A-S.net stand, or not?

ooooooh sounds good........ is it a whole day event and what is the ticket price..... i have tried finding this on the GTI website but its not loading the online booking screen:keule:

thanking you!! will keep checking the GTI site to register...how many registered so far? anyone in the know

I hope to make it on sunday. I'll either have to wake up mega early or find somewhere to kip for a night.

Details here will be posted here, but it looks like you still can't prebook stuff:
http://www.gtiinternational.co.uk/

In summary, to get on the stand, you must pre-book a ticket and select the club name from the list when you buy your ticket as they will also send you a club pass. This will make sure you can get to the right area of the show. Without one the marshalls will just send you to the public car parks. It is free to have a club stand and free to display - you just need to pay your entry ticket.

Hope that answers your questions. Neil Birkett works for the organisers and normally posts something up when we can book. Although it does seem a bit unusual that we can't book yet?

I ve just updated my pic and added signature. Is there any standard that is minumun to be included on the stand? I havent got a dog, and is in very good condition for its nearly 15 years. |Im going to spend the friday polishing it

Here is bigger pic, so you can get a idea. BTW the car doent have alloys on now just OEM 15" rims and original audi trims

myweb.tiscali.co.uk/centurion/

Would thi sbe good enough to enter?

Its not show n shine by a long shot, nice to see an old skool Audi

I dont mean show n shine, I meant just to sit with all the other audis so I can take a few pics and show it off a little. I agree its no concours, I havent the time and money for that

I have now had confirmation I'll be allowed to park in the Audi-Sport.net parking area in my not-technically-VAG vehicle...and I'm OK for the sprint too.
Good news.

I will even consider washing the car...but am tempted to think that 400+ miles of flies, dirt and brake dust will be an uber cool look for this summer, especially combined with worn out tyres and blued brake discs.
Yee-haa...

Caney won't be there this time Glen :eyebrows:

I bet he will...
I hope Chris is, with his RS4...that would be interesting!

on reflection he might well be,I forgot about the Chris in his RS4 equation...can't wait to see it.

costs about six quid a run and you'll need your license

Works out cheaper if you prebook it when you buy your ticket i think

"costs about six quid a run and you'll need your license"

You mean licence as in driving licence not racing licence? Sorry

Tim yes all you need is your driving license, i think you will need the paper bit as well as the card.

When did the license showing start?
2 years ago you didn't...you just bought runs at the office...job done.
I've never shown my license in all the years I've been going, so is it a new thing?

Glen might well be correct so turn up without it

Can you book on the website yet? I'm surprised you can't. Autometrix are usually eager for your money. Just wondering if the wheels are finally going to fall off this year....

Interesting to note on the website that 2007 was an 'an all-time record attendance' funny how everyone who was there thought it was quiet compared to previous years.

yes Jase it does seem strange that they aren't harrassing people for their money and yes last year was a joke TBH

Right chaps...
You can now book online:
http://www.gtiinternational.co.uk/

The usual...£14.00 per day pre-booked (£17.00 at the gate) or £25.00 for a weekend pass.
Audi-sport.net is already listed under the 'Clubs' so select it from the dropdown, pay your money...and the job's a good 'un.

Sprint runs pre-bookable too...

Im looking foward to going this year as well going to put my car on show with cupra net. i do miss being an audi owner :)

Is any one having problems booking online, it keeps saying "EXPIRY DATE INVALID" when I try and use my card or any card I have?

Can you book by phone?

2ish Jo???

What route are you planning on taking the one via VW.....in Germany!!!

I have been on the site and tried to book tix for the Sunday only, but when going to choose the club, it shows up as blank....and you can only choose it on the weekend tickets, am i doing something wrong??

Has anyone else booked yet???

I`ll be going on the Sunday...working the Sat:(, but it gives me a chance to give the car good seeing to before...:eyebrows: ( if I go in mine?)
