ROOF OR ROOF & BONNET NEED SOME OF YOUR FEEDBACK,,

Roof only would probably look quite good. Similar to Sportbacks with the Sky Roof, nice contrast.

Are vinyl roofs making a comeback? Must have been that retro cop show or have you been watching re runs of the professionals?

Personal opinion, if the roof was actually carbon (a la M3 CSL / new V8 M3) and gloss smoothed finish then maybe that might be quite cool as it looks like an intentional weight saving / functional styling point.

You may find you crucify resale value by doing this too. I think your car is beautiful in white and would be tempted to darken the wheels if you did want to darken something. With a set of tints for good measure it would look 'el cojones del perro'!

I'd do the roof only, perhaps in vinyl and if you like it get it painted afterwards.

I'll echo what others have said... The black roof would look the shizzle if it was done in a functional manner e.g. see if you can get a professional outfit to fit some carbon weave to it as the M3, M6, Gallardo Superleggera etc. Or...Just go for a heavy gloss black like the special edition TT's
Will there just be a straight split line between black and white or will you separate the two with a pinstripe? Could be a raging success or a right dogs dinner. Careful!

Roof only could look good! but you will need to have the spoiler painted (the sportbacks with glass roof have the spoiler painted black.

I would not use paint though; you will kill resale! Use a good graphic shop!

I would say, black alloys and tints would make it look 1 million times better than the roof option. Also something easily reversed when coming to sell, just my 2p

eeek - IMO, painting the roof black would look a little, erm, cheap.

nice if its carbon or glass.....but just painted???

eack to their own i guess.

Is it just me, or is every S3 outside Britain supplied with new style RS4 alloys.

I wanted them as OE fit but didn't want to pay the horrific 'Parts department' prices for them. I don't see why they couldn't have been offered as an option here when they are supplied everywhere else.

Now they offer them in the UK on A3 1.4TFSi's for god sake - yet you pay £30k+ and they tell you to go swivel. Cheers Audi!

I wouldn't touch the paint, if i had a Ibis car , i'd buy the optics pack , and get some Phantom black mirror covers , maybe poweder coat the wheels black , if you had the OEM S3 wheels i'd leave the centre bit of the stud guard crome! lovely

p

The OE RS4 style wheels dont look that good anyway. Dont have the dish like the real ones and look too small in 18". Really like the standard S3 wheels myself

Well there's a good reason to stick with the S3 style alloys which aren't available on all the other models. (OK they probably are , but at quite a cost)

THe colour scheme in that photshop looks reminiscent of a Veyron. Would i advise it??? Hell no!! :puke2:

8P S3s are an excellent package alround, remap it and pamper it, maybe a tasteful wheel swap but definately nothing more IMO.

thanks for all your ideas ,, i think its staying white all white new wheels maybe looking at bbs RGR et-50 19" two colour much better than the cheap rs4 copies ,, cheers
