Ok then Folks, Ill get straight to the point, I know some will think Im mad, Stupid,Insane etc but Its decided - Im having a Turbo Upgrade!!

Now hopefully looking to upgrade from April/May time.
Ive been looking into this for some time now but one min im yeah lets go for it then next Im "noooo too much Money"

But I like my Turbo's and after considering the S4, I dont think Id be happy without a turbo, Ive tried it before, I just love the Boost and all that comes with it - Im not saying I dont like S4's because I love em and have thought about this for a while now.
Ive considered the B5 Rs4 also butwant my shape so..

Sooooo basically I want to stick with Audi no matter what and with my car and cash, I was looking to spend around the 12K mark (this has lowered a few grand due to Moving house etc in the summer) and I was thinking of a young S line model but its the speed thing again, I want serious power and to get that ill need to whack another 6k on on top to tune this S line I was after resulting into 20K which I cant afford.. So ive decide Im happy with my motor and see myself keeping it for a long time now so why not treat it a little..

Ive been in touch with many tuners, www.backdraftmotorsport.com being one of them and Im looking at a GT2860RS-5 Turbo upgrade with plenty of bits and bobs for £4250 + VAT fitted!!!!

Yes I know, SOme of you are thinking what the hell but its my car, Im keeping it, Need more power and want a proper Job doing.

This upgrade will give me in the region of 320 - 330bhp then a few more tweaks here and there should give me close to 350bhp.
Ive been in touch with the guy from BackDraft and he said he has done plenty upgrades and my engine will be safe after they have done what they need to do to it. There is still time to shop around so if any of you guys can point me in a few directions then im all for it.
Im ringing MRC tomorrow too aswell as a couple others again (bet they are sick of hearing me) but its alot of money so I want to be 110% sure!

Im looking into Brake upgrade and other bits obviously but lets not hit everything at once eh!

So much for saving for new car.
I just want to stick with a Turbo, I dont want scoobys/evo's, been there done that and I love Audis and love my car plus Ive been through alot with it so dont wanna chuck it all away.

SO then Guys and Girls...Opinions and Advice welcome

I say go for it, sounds like a good plan to me. If you love the car and can see yourself keeping it for a while then why not. Sounds like it's gonna be a beast too.
 
Its a good looking car, deserves 350 bhp, pretty sure you could get it done cheaper than that or is that engine work aswell.
 
J7USS are you trying to justify the big turbo conversion to us or yourself.

I reckon I could get it cheaper too with some more research but I just dont want to let loose any tom **** or harry on it, I want to make sure Im getting some sort of warrenty with the Work. Apparently there is a little engine work but not anything like Pistons etc as that steps into the 5 figure bill but do get 400+ BHP!! Not for me though, way too much money!

I know Im going to go for it but was wondering what the 4Ringed Community thought of it really. Im not too clued up with Engines and turbo's so its more advice Im after to be honest.

....at the same time Im still trying to Justify the Big Whack to myself!

J7USS, get yourself over to audizine.com, those Yanks love going BT and some have crazy power. Do a search there, and you'll get enough info to last you a week.
 
sounds like a plan mate - go for it and hopefully one day we will meet up so that i can see the finished article. you only live once and what is money doing in the bank if its not been spent on a nice car??

i reckon you should give awesome gti a call they are running their insane B6 Avant and in my experience theres nothing better than knowing someone that has been there and done that :icon_thumright: . All you see on their car is the finished product but I bet a million quid there has been things changed as it didnt quite work out or they wish they'd done summit else! have a look at the link as it shows you the spec

Yeah Quattro it is. FWD I would imagine to just Spin soon as the foot is Placed down!!

Yeah I came across this one when I started looking, Very similar in what Im looking for! Ill be speaking to these about it too because Ive noticed that their prices regarding turbo upgrade itself etc is roughly the same!!

Take a drive up to Scotland and speak to Jim at Star performance http://www.starperformance.co.uk/index.htm for a turbo upgrade, exhaust and custom remap etc etc. This guy is spot on and can pretty much do anything you want!!

Once the work has been done WE can take it out for a spin.....plus i bet you'll enjoy the dive home:faint:

At the end of the day Im willing to travel if the price is right,After all it could save me alot of money as round here in the midlands the Prices are Harsh compared to the north!!
I know a few people from Glasgow area too..

I think if you want a well engineered kit APR are the guys to trust.
Everyone can offer 'kits'..... but the APR guys have a way of covering all bases - i mean everything is in the kit.

Ive fitted a Stage 3+ kit to a VAG motor and trust me, the others look silly when you compare them!!

If you are up north... drop Awesome GTi a call/link in the advertisers bit below mate...

330bhp or more from the A4 is nice.. :)
