Broken Armrest

Hi Guys

I know my car is a B7 an all, but there are more people on here and I think the armrest is the same on the B6 and B7. So my problem is that the button to lift the lid of the armrest has broken on one side so it doesn't/can't click into place. So does anyone know if i have to get a whole new lid or can i just get the button and fit it on?

You have to buy a new lid on the B6. Just done this for mine £40 from you local Audi dealer part number V8E0 864 245 A1 7C (N/STK cover) . You can buy a repair kit but it does not work on the B6 type IIRC its for the A3.

Edited to add: End of part number varies with inertia trim colour.

Just had to order one for my S4 today..............leather trim and its £61......ouch!!
 
i think the lids are 40 from vagparts and thats leather
 
I hate the fecking thing, you could have mine if I could remove it without a gaping hole in the console!

It just gets in the way, and is the most pointlessly stupid accessory a car could have when placed in the way of the handbrake and gearstick.

As much use as tassles on a steering wheel LOL :)
 
My clip's been bust for ages!Think its time to get it sorted though.
Wouldnt be without one though, especially long journeys.

I love mine too - I use it more than the handbrake!:thumbsup:

Bum. another £20 I've wasted!

But it did only take 2 days to get it, VAG parts are good, but they do take a week or 2 to get delivered sometimes. (and I hate waiting for things!)
 
Good stuff, Im up for a challenge!fixed my Glovebox hinge so ill have a blast at this too!!

Nah J7uss, but I never ever use the armrest lol it feels wrong, like some 1973 custom van seat attachment :lmfao:
