has anyone fitted one fo these bumpers??

Im very tempted by this, been looking at it for a while, be interesting to see what its like in reality, if not Ill get my plastic welder out over the winter and make one!

Would go nicely with my car as Ive already got the gay RS3 badge on it lol
 
yeah i'm really tempted and at £100 posted (approx) its very cheap too
get the grills on ebay cheap enough
i'd like to know how the wiper washers still mount and how strong it is!
my bumper is all chipped and needs respraying along with bumper and wings and i think getting rid of the side vents would look better too!
big turbo front mount and i've got RS3 too
 
Do you know if he will post to the UK? Would look nice with the LCR splitter on it too I recon... Tempting as an early christmas present to myself
 
found the center grill on vag parts for £40 with VAT
the side ones you can get without fog holes on US ebay for £70 odd
or full set is £100 from vag parts
 
65Euros for delivery he's quoted me, gonna see what I can get sorted out and take it from there

Built a few bumpers in the past and that with plastic welding etc so will see what the qualitys like. Wiper washers should be the same mounting anyway, my main concern is the fitment by the wing, having had a look on thier actual website some of them dont looke 100% to me. Im seriously considering it tho
 
i think i'm gonna get one order ASAP but for E109.00 not E250.00 postage is E65 grills are £88 from vag parts not gonna bother with fog lights for a while.
did find some fog light blanks on US ebay but they have long gone.
 
A quick word of warning, i have seen a couple of RS4 style bumpers that look an awful lot like these around my area recently.

Each one i've seen looked a very poor fit and the finish of the paint didn't help either. I know the fit can be improved, to a point by a good bodyshop but i wonder if there's a reason the paint isn't great.

Just a heads up, might cost you a good bit to get it on and looking decent on the car
 
RichA3Turbo found a lot of trimming was required by his bodyshop to get it to fit correctly.

Having said that, once trimmed and painted, it looks very nice.

I have one from s3tuning.de probably the same as the german ebay one!
Both Me, RichA3turbo and Factionone and all found fitting issues with the but mine is looking about right now after being block flatted and sprayed for the second time.
 
Im expecting the finish to not be 100%, as with any aftermarket modification its gonna be produced in a fairly cheap way that will need things adjusting (god knows I had that with an Oettinger replica kit on a mates Mk4 Golf)

May see what I can build over the winter instead!

And sitrials, rather than not bothing with fogs you could see how to adapt the standard units mounting to fit with the bumper? I cant see how its gonna be a huge amount of fabrication
 
Try doing somthing a bit different like the bumper i brought of stewart a while back,

Does look good, just make sure you get a bettercolour match than the one on ebay though!! :)
 
Got my bumper through yesterday...
quality is ok but its £78 from german ebay it's a good purchase.
did get abused in post abit arrived with 2 tiny cracks at either corner.
but nothing that can't be worked out.
came with a years warranty aswell which ain't bad
going to the body shop early january will up date once done
looking for a FMIC to go behind it now and then a hybrid turbo from germany!
