ive been thinking about this for along time, Is anybody else keen on the idea We could even invite sites with A4's.

It would have to be somewhere in the middle of everyone and we do have a few member in scotland so i was thinking around manchester area or stoke or somewhere else.

whos in

cheers

I'm up for it!!!!!!!!

need my s4 hubs first so I can do mybig brake conversion, when you thinking of?

Yeah sounds good :) next year somtime or this year ?

^^ S4 hubs what brakes you fitting S4s ?

Na fitting the s4 hubs with 350mm discs and a set fo calipers from the seat leon cupra R the brembos, also thinking of 034 motorsprts rear 300mm disc conversion.

BIG turbo next year so sorting out the stopping bit now LOL

I think its a good idea defo woth organising properly and getting lots of people there :)

Is it ok for me to come if I only have a 1.8 SE with 15'' wheels hang on a std suspension which makes it looks like it's a monster truck?

It would be an Audi related meet so standard non-standard won't matter :)

That's how mine started off mate, we all gotta start somewhere! Like Markey says, it's an Audi thing rather than a modding thing.

Count me in anyway fellas...

depending when and where it is i might come but manchester may be a bit too far for me, i'll keep an eye on this topic.

I would be up for it, I think the spring would be better - weather n that, it would also give folks time to sort that project they was thinking of....

I'm up in Northumberland so stoke would be doable just I think.

Nearby travel lodge and good pubs would be good.

I like the idea of this, I have an AFN tdi and need some perspective on what I want to move onto at the end of next year.
Would be nice for a few ride alongs and to see the difference in the various models.

why don't we find somewhere with a track, Oulton Park would be good.
Sort out enough interest for an A4/S4/RS4 specific track day and show and they would be up for it, they get an entrance fee, publicity and all the rest. We get a discounted track day and a chance to have a look at all the cars out there. See if there are any vendors like Forge etc who would be interested in sponsoring, attending etc, few tuners, make a decent day not just a load of blokes w@nking over each others cars in a Tesco car park...... (not a nice image)

Nothing in their calendar for next year yet

Gti boys do it all the time

In fact I have got so excited about it I have just emailed Oulton Park to see if they would be interested.

Think of a day where you can park and chill, show and shine, track time, tuition, get your car mapped and see it work on a track afterwards, pick up spares, parts, wheels, ICE etc.
Feed your face and the kids........
Could be sponsored by a local dealer, tuner, tyre manufacturer etc.
Couple of celebs, you'd be surprised how cheap it is to get some proper drivers (I went to a marketing day for Audi and they had some Le Mans works drivers to take us round Knock Hill)
If numbers aren't enough then we cast it out to the A3 and A6 groups

Too ambitious?

I am up for that! Would it be alright to take my TDi on the track? I am sure I can handle it fairly well :D
just worried about pace

will chase them on Monday. shouldn't be too tricky, so long as people commit.
Spring would be better (for me!) just because of weather and logistics of getting everyone there.

Can we start a sticky with a poll of who would be interested, would be easier to track.
do one of teh RS246 and Audi world sites also

Right, update!
Spoke to the company that run Brands Hatch, Oulton Park, Snetterton, Cadwell Park, Bedford Autodrome. (they do them all)

Weekends are pretty much out due to the race schedules.
Weekdays will work as an exclusive for between 100 (min) to 120 cars

Alternatively they can organise something (again midweek), that if the numbers don't add up they will throw it open to other clubs, forums etc to bring up the numbers.

I am up for a midweek day but it may count out a lot of people out, can we make this a sticky and get a straw poll of who would be up for this anywhere from February to May.

Alternatively we could look at some of the venues that don't have as busy race schedules (Bruntingthorpe, Rockingham, Santa Pod etc) but not have such a laugh on the track.
I personally am more interested in an opportunity to spend some time doing what it does best than standing round a car park. But we need to get some idea of numbers.

Could one of the Mods put it up as a vote post with some options (Track plus Show'n'shine, 1/4 mile, teddy bears picnic etc)

thanks

Hi Lads,

JCB, good find, cheers mate.
I although think that my stock 96' A4 is not even fun to drive on a circuit. Plus mid-week is definitely not convinient.

I think I will pass this time. I needed more a get together where I could maybe get VAG'ed and have some bits and bobs from other guys. (like the leather seats from Craig..... )

Brands Hatch do a monthly thing called German car night (Last Thursday of the month) so may be one of the other tracks might do something similar.

couple of good hours from me, but car arrives warm at least!

santa pod sounds good as 10 mins from my house

I'd love to meet but I've moved back to Newcastle until I find a new job. Not sure how many of yous live close by.

Great thread

Have you considered a RWYB day at Santa Pod ? www.rwyb.com

Its central, cheap entry, there is pleny of space & people can pay extra to run.

Trackdays are great but people who run have to concentrate on that because its expensive !

I'm happy to promote whatever you come up with on www.rs246.com :)
