Hi all
Recently my car has been a little difficult to start and it seems to be only with my key. I believe that my key is one of the original keys (2002). My wifes key that is only 15 months old seems to have no problems (although used less). I have been told it is due to the chip in the key fob not turning off the immobiliser quick enough??? Audi wanted me to buy a whole new key but is it not possible to remove the silver key from the unit (looks like a watch style pin holding it in). Attach this part to the spare front half I have and clip this to the current 3-button section?? Would I then be able to get a Vagcom user to program the immobiliser?
Any advice would be good. thanks
