Hi everyone, im mark and have recently purchased a 2001 S3, and so far its fair to say im loving it:icon_thumright: . I've had a good look around this forum and decided i should really sign up and contribute, no doubt i'll need some help / advice in the future (my petrol gauge has already started to play up = annoying).

Nice example, although i'm not to keen on the mesh, obviously that's just my opinion though :)

gorgeous car mark!!!! looks really good lowered with the new style RS4's!

Usually mesh is considered a very chavvy option on the S3, but i must say, it actually looks good on yours! (on the rear in particular)

VERY nice! didnt think i'd like silver but that looks the business.
 
Nice car mate yea again not keen on mesh but each to there own looks nice tho mate ..
My petrol gauge dont work very well either lol..

Yes it was, thats where i found it. The photos i've posted were actually taken by the previous owner, also seen on pistonheads, just haven't got round to taking any 'arty' ones myself yet!

Im not too sure about the mesh either, everything was on the car like it is now when i bought it. I think it'l be a grower... fingers crossed.

I was trying to find an S3 with the 'must have' parts already on to save me buying them in the future. I'd quite like to wack a nice intercooler at the front however, without removing the fogs ideally. Any idea how much a kit goes for?
 
i would repalce the front lower grill & rear panel, their both designed to match the side sills etc doesnt look right

Nice S3 Mark shame silver is not the fastest colour, should have got a black one! ;)

Everyone loves a chavy extra on here, they just claim they don't but they really do! he he lol

I feel there is not enough use of neon's on Audi's here, but hopefully their time will come! :jump:

welcome mate, loving the car, get some proper pics up and show it off properly, once again i am not keen on that mesh mate really doesnt go with the rest of the car, i think s3's should be kept completely standard fro mthe outside except wheels, but thats my opinion :)

anyway welcome to the site buddy, hope you enjoy. get posting!
 
trouble is if i remove the mesh i have nothing to put in its place. What other options are there and who sells such things?

I dont think i mind the mesh, would be nice too see what other options i have though.

Yeah i like them too.. Might have to invest in a set.. Thing is people say get Audi originial but they are like 1k plus compared to £300 quid.. Ummm
 
Any idea on the weight of the reps compared to genuines? Also, how they compare with the previous style RS4's; both reps and genuine?

you can buy the genuine bumper inserts from eurocarparts or the likes - dont cost too much but if you like the mesh just keep it. Not really for me but looks decent enough

At one time, comments like that would have earned you a 7-14 day ban.
I think it's time those days were brought back...

Really do love them wheels, wondering wat they would look like on my ming blue. think the silver car, silver wheels helps.. ummm
