ive spoke to our freinds t dna tunning, and john said that the typical gains would be plus 35bhp and 45lbs/ft, which i was quite impressed with,
so i think im gonna book an apointment. is there any other suttle mods i could to help with this eg. hi flow air filter etc. its the 90hp a4 so could use a little a more poke :tumble:

I TAKE IT I WOULD NEED TO GET THEESE FIRST. WITH IT BEING A DIESEL WOULD BREATHER MODS HELP IN ANY WAY. THE PAST CARS I HAVE HAD IV FITTED AIR FILTERS/EXHAUST ETC AND THE ODD OTHER MOD BUT THESE WERE PETROL,

I have a new A4 TDi and am looking to get my ECU re-mapped, you mention bigger injectors, what size or type would I need for this? and obviously how easy is it for a fairly adept lay-person to carry out?:readit:

Looking forward to you reply.

Kind regards

Jason

Yes do all this first, be careful with air filters, if there are over oiled they can knacker your Maf sensor.

PP764's or PP502's injectors, you may want to check this though. I'm not 100%

Cheers Mark

would these be for my tdi or big.buoy or would it be for both

Hi Mark,

If it would be less intrusive would you maybe pm about the injectors?

It's just the lowly 140 ps!

Are they easy enough to replace and which type would I need to replace them with.

Sorry again for jumping in.:sorry:

Jason

Tbh, you don't really need to on these. unless you are uprating the turbo. You can push these up about 50hp with a remap anyway. It depends if you want serious power?

Ahh, ok! that's good news. In all honesty I think 50hp is plenty!

I appreciate your help and now I need to find a decent local tuner in/near Cornwall!

Kind regards

Jason

Also the pp762 and pp502 nozzles mentioned above are for the older ditstributer-type diesels. Nozzles for PD engines are much more expensive. Have a look here http://www.kermatdi.com/

Pretty sure Chipped UK have a guy down your way. I'll find out for you.

Cheers, Mark

What you have to watch out for is a lot of tuners don't actually write the software to suit various upgrades and you can end up with a very smokey car. Also be very wary of some power claims, you do see some quite hilarious ones these days. Software as always is the best return of power for your money, other hardware apart from a turbo upgrade makes minimal in comparison differences.
