just bought a recirc valve

It will be easy to fit! Don't worry about, prepare yourself for some personal views on your choice though! ;)

Bwahahahaha.

Its not chav. innit.

Its quite telling they have a Subaru as the background picture on the website.

it says medium to quiet, and as they are $350 i thought £48 wasnt bad.i shall wait and see.:jump:

yeah that is what i was thinking didnt see this page until after i paid for it,hmmm very strange

I wouldnt worry, anything sold by a company called "Go fast bits" will be top quality and no mistake...

No doubt it will make a similar noise to yours Dave! ;)

And you seem to like it, all that boost noise!! lol

Its the whistling air like its rushiong through a drainpipe I can't stand.

Believe me, its nothing like the "PssssssssssssssshhhhhhhTTTTTTTTT" that Danotto the secret Escort Cosworth driver will be producing ;-)

Oh dam is it not!

I will have to say i quite like the chavy sound your makes Dave! :faint:

My mates got a cosworth and it doesn't make PssssssssssssssshhhhhhhTTTTTTTTT - but makes a rally car style noise from the actuator - sounds awesome

i wish i could afford to rag around in an escort cosworth they are still goin for £13000.this is a tuneable valve so you can silence it which is what i shall be doing, but to be fair ive bought it now so deal with it.lol

In all fairness to Danotto it looks like a cheaper version of the Forge splitter. Would the same comments have been made if he had bought Forge?

thank you,i looked on the forge website and it was stupid money.so looked around and found this one,so if its crap then its only £50 wasted rather than £200

Its a tried and tested product, its not the product itself that is the cack part, its the noise!!

im getting it because im getting my car remapped soon and the old diverter valve splits,so i bought this one and if i decide i want the sound i can adjust the valve to do so

I actually had one of these valves on my S3 when i bought it but never heard of the company and didnt want a BOV either so sold it

I watch these now and then, and the prices seem weird, ive seen then around the 8/9k mark, then they seem to jump up to 13k odd!

I actually saw an M plate, in blue, stage 3 so 330bhp, for £7800! It was miles away and im not sure why so cheap, a deal had it, but my stomach jumped when I saw it, I would really luv another Cossie, and the Escort would now be the only choice, purley from a saftey aspect, i cringe to think I had 150+(on a private road)in mine some years back, not exactly the strongest of cars!

I had a Bailey piston on mine, but actually prefered the wastegate chatter, oh yeahhhhhhhh!

i have just fitted the valve it has a blow off sound but its not that loud, but anyway will this valve be ok on the car, a bit late now i know,is there anything i should keep my eye on having just fitted it,cheers guys

I dont see why not. The only thing I experienced when swappin the standard recirc for an atmopheric bov on my 200sx, was that it over-fueled a little when lifting off the throttle, hence the occasional pops and flames from the exhaust. The 200 is roughly the same setup in that it also uses a MAF instead of a MAP sensor. Pops and flames, can be detremental to your cats though (if your running any).

having driven with this valve i have decided to sell it as its a bit too loud for me,works well though and easy enough to fit,but i want a more subtle recirc valve such as the forge 007p,so if anyone interested £60 and its yours plus delivery lets call it a fiver.cheers dan:salute:

yeah i know, its a good valve as its adjustable etc,but the blow off bit is a bit loud im sure i could tone it down but may as well just buy a forge,if you know anyone selling one cheapish, let me no,:respekt:

can you turn the OE diverter upside down?

Funny you should say that. When i fitted my uprated recirc the other day i thought, 'why have Audi plumbed it in like that?' Ususally the pressurised side is pushing on the bottom of the valve. As the throttle butterfly closes and hence puts the inlet manifold into vaccum, the vaccum pulls the diverter vale open (with assistance from the pressurised air in the charge pipe) and dumps the excess pressure either to air or into the induction tract in the case of the recirc.

On the S3 as standard the pressurised air is actually coming in from the side and pushing the valve down into the valve seat, so shurely this should make it harder for the valve to open.

Long winded answere but, in my opinion it should be the other way round. Clear as mud?? :)

would i be alrite to test it upside down without it causing damage to the diaphragm?

ive got my forge in backwards currently, just for interest to see if it sounds any different. its a much sharper noise now, almost chavvy like an HKS SSQV BOV. but iu some how like it (the chav in me is desperately trying to escape)

I think i may have an inner chav too because i would like my car to make some noises, the turbo spinning up is too subtle when you've got Mika on in the background!!

just sold mine to s3 saf, sorry katy, lol.mika isnt a good sound to be playing in anyones car so surely drawing attention to the fact that you are playing his music, using a dump valve isnt a good idea.lol.:jump:

I regularly have the likes of Kraftwerk and Paris Hilton blasting from my Stereo.

People at traffic lights think I'm a mentalist and make a concerted effort not to catch my eye in case I wink at them and dribble a little bit.

Sorts out the chavs too, as they rev their engine, and I wind down the window with Tubular Bells going full blast.

you cant beat a bit of stevie wonder on a sunny day and kings of leon on a wet one.lol

whats does yours sound like dave, i really want one on mine so it makes tish sound?!! nothing to loud tho!

Dunno if it's the same one, but i have 2 of those valves at home if anyone's after one...

Sad but true.

The inner chav overruled the head at one time!
