petrol leak when tank is full....

saw it on the side of the petrol tank just near the fuel filter. very bad smell...

drips on the ground

Happens only when tank is full...

1st guess was fuel filter, but it doesn't seem to be it since it is dripping to the ground.

Drove the car for some miles to empty the tank a little bit and it has stopped now...

So it would be the petrol tank....or any other ideas? anything to do with the breather pipes etc...?

How hard to remove the tank?

it's just on the near the fuel filter on the audi...rear OS wheel....was leaking quite badly...Will change the fuel filter and see what happens..

It only does it when it's completely full though
