Any other blood donors on here? Racked up my 13th donation today, unlucky for some!

For all those not currently donating, please do if you can: http://www.blood.co.uk/

done my 25th earlier in the year

I'm not allowed. Apparently they're not desperate enough for blood that they can turn me away just because I'm South African, I've lived here for 10 years now, if I haven't died of some african disease by now. They won't let my wife donate now either.

never done it, in fact i've signed up for my first donation earlier this week, the Blood wagon is coming to our factory on the 9th so please think of me around 10:35, i may need the support
Its easy...apart from the time I hadn't rested enough after donating and boy did it spurt out of my arm

Just been today with my missus. She gives blood, I eat the biscuits and drink the tea

I'm not sure if i like the sound of spurting bodily fluids in a non-bedroom related scenario
was crimson fluids so its okay

Am on donation No42!
and i HATE needles , always have to look away ,
been doing it since young as my mum , is anemic(correct spelling???) and needed a good few pints for a operation ,so since then i go regular

use to but now I do shifts they alawys seen to come when im on nights.

once went football training after donating, was a cheap way to get high lol

Would love to do it but can't face needles, they inflict sheer terror into me when I see them, fainting some times too

I gave blood once, years ago. They only took half a pint, cos my blood was so stubborn to leave me!

think i'm on about 12 pints iirc

need to get my @rse into gear as i haven't been in about a year or so

Fainting works, it makes it easier for them because you aren't squirming :)

just given my very first donation today, i am no longer a virgin.

must admit it wasn't half as bad as i expected it to be, once the needle was in i could feel a little discomfort but nothing that i'd call pain. wish i'd done it years ago, i feel as if i've done something worthwhile for a change.

well done dave....its the ying and yang thing, you can do summat bad now to equal it out like cut up a bmw driver

well there was two Merc drivers on the A1 last night that i could gleefully have ripped an arm off and beaten them to death with the wet end but they'd have probably tried to save them with my blood knowing my luck, lol

Great stuff Dave, good man! Don't forget to lap up the pampering and free tea and biscuits ;)
