Right after yonks of searching i can only find stuff about s3's on here!

I bought some new 18"x8 wheels yday thats ET42. im running coilovers and the wheels hit my coilover adjustment nuts when im down about 50/40mm so i had to higher it abit, its also 1mm away from the actual shock.

Whats the CORRECT offset recomended for the A3 with the size wheel mentioned above? Im guessing i need between 2 or 5mm spacers. Dont wana go to 5mm spacers cos i just bought some mcgard lockign nuts and they wont fit if i get 5mm spacers. So do i need 2 or 3mm spacers? if so will they be ok?

OEM RS-TT are 18x8 and ET33, replicas are usually between 30 and 35.

Anything less than 8mm spacers will not be hubcentric which will lead to other problems.

my reps are ET42 so i need 10mm spacers???? why would 8mm or less spacers cause others problems?

cheers

I have some 5mm spacer if you want them but they aint hubcentric. PM me if interested

Hubcentric spacers have a lip that helps locate the wheel centrally, the smallest you can get these in is 8mm although 10mm seems more common from most manufacturers.

ah right i see.... does the lip on the spacer really matter that much?

put it this way if i got 3mm or 5mm spacers would i really get problems??

Not sure about a 5mm but a 3mm should have enough of the hub poking through to locate properly.
