About to have this fitted by Carphone warehouse next week, however sales guy unsure whether they could link it up to the phone controls on the multifunction steering wheel (B7 Audi). Anyone had this kit fitted & linked to the pre-Audi phone wiring? Seems a shame not to be able to use it. Price is £79.99 + fitting if it saves me 3 points.:blackrs4:

Why dont you retro fit the original audi bluetooth kit mate? You already have a multifunction steering wheel, so you are half way there!

Hi Terry
Didnt realise you were able to get this? Havent seen this on any of the VAG part sites? You just down the road from me in West Lothian, im in dalgety Bay fife. Will speak to the engineer when he arrives to fit it. see you got phantom black, dealer messed up my order! so settled on quartz grey in the end.

Yep - you sure are able to fit this. And it will be 100 times better than a parrott kit! You dont want to be sticking one of them in your new motor! You can also fit the DVD Sat Nav very easily as well. Not sure if you already new that! It will just fit straight in seen as you already have a Symphony.

If you want to see the whole set up working, feel free to come round to mine and I will give you the full demo.

If you needed a hand fitting it all I can help you out and have VagCom, so I can do all the recoding as well.

Give me a shout if you need anymore info!

Terry,
Many thanks for the info...off to Nice/Cannes for a weeks holiday, but will Pm you when i get back...(ps the stereo unit is Audi concert - double DIN not symphony) as i say dealer problems, but got an upgraded 2.0TDI in place of the 1.9TDI phantom black i had ordered....
Would certainly like to see the sat nav system in the car etc, at present i have a company Navman F20 which i have in the new car.
Cheers Paul.

I have Parrot in my ford puma & Audi bluetooth in my A4 , they are chalk and cheese in favour of the Audi system . If you talk on the parrot system at 35 mph it sounds like you are in the engine room of a old tug but on the phone in the audi at 70 mph most people dont even realise you are "hands free"

Call in at the Buccaneere at Mandeliue for a good lunch ( right in the moderm port ) Mandeliue is 5 miles west of Cannes . Watch out for the police laser on the Autoroutes and gatsos on the A8 just before Cannes !!

Ian
