S3 or S4 ??

What are the pro's and con's of the 2 ??

S3's seem to more readerly available which is why i'm asking. And come with all the goodies :icon_thumright:
 
Depends which S4 I'd say, if it's the V6, get that...if it's the 2.7 bi-turbo it looks more dated than the S3 IMO but I bet it's a real beast once remapped!!!
 
I was considering swapping my S3 for an S4 avant, just because theres a baby due any day now and it seams more practical.
 
I thought the S4 is a V8, surely that is choice made!! :sly:
 
my mate has an s4 , and IMO it looks a bit dated , maybe it because it has done a 120000 miles , id watch out for the rattly manifold if u r going to but one as my mate has had to have both of his welded up as they were both cracked , and one of the turbos was on its way out , it sounded like a loose heatshield or something but it wasnt , and because it is a twin turbo he had to have both the turbos done ,

I thought I'd like to move to the 2.7T S4 if I ever needed extra space (kids or whatever), but otherwise I love my S3 too much. It does most things that a big car does but in a smaller package. Great for cruising up and down the country too if needs be.

Thing is, the s4 isnt much bigger at all than an s3 bar the boot.

S3 still looks fresher but i'd prob be tempted by the S4
 
If your having trouble I'd say post the same question on the A4 threads and then you will have a pretty balanced range of responses to help your decision?
 
S4 for sure, S3 is alright and does it's job admirably but you can't beat that thrust from the two turbots. stick a remap on it and you're looking at anything between 310 and 330bhp for 500 quid and more torque than you're tongue can cope with, all coupled with that stealth appearance. i have no qualms about parking mine anywhere because everyone just thinks they're a standard A4
