Did a quick search and no hits but seems common enough on other forums for the 8R Q5 (amongst other VAG cars) but most of the common faults are due to having a sunroof which mine doesn't

Long story short, found water under the battery in the boot of our 2011 Q5 (no pan roof)

Sucked it all out, dried and left to monitor but no obvious signs as to its origin

I have a feeling it may have something to do with the rear washer jet but anyone any other experience?

Rear wash wipe is def where I'd be looking. Does it work? I have previously read of pipes being blown off. I guess that could happen partially too also.

Does the water smell of washer fluid?

I stripped the rear washer unit months and months ago as it was full of congealed muck and oil - pretty certain I disabled the water pipe and it just wasn't working hence why I think thats my route cause so was just checking here in case I was too look somewhere else instead of stripping the boot lid which is a PITA!! :haha:
