Hi all,

I have a 3.2 tt with bose and audi sat nav. I have heard it was difficult to wire a bluetooth handsfree system into the stereo because I have got these options. Can anyone throw any light on this and what I would need to do if at all possible? I dont want a speaker mounted anywhere, it must be a fully integrated system

Many thanks
Sam

Get the Audi bluetooth system I have, bluetooth box goes under passenger seat, connects to RNS-E and microphone hidden in interior light cluster above your head.

Syncs with your mobile phone. You just need to sit in the car and your phonebook, missed calls, dialled calls and signal strength appears on the screen allowing total control of your phone from the RNS-E screen.

Slightly expensive at £350 but its the only totally integrated system you can get.

Is there a list of phones somewhere that fully integrate, just about to upgrade and my samsung d600 dosen't have full funtionality

Hi there, spoke to audi garage today and they said that there was nothing they could offer and that bose system would definately cause a problem meaning that I had to have an external speaker. Can you tell me any more about the system that you mentioned, the parts I would need etc and comfirm compatibility with bose?

Also what is RNS-E? Many thanks
Sam

They are talking complete ****** as per normal, you can fit an aftermarket kit to a BOSE system without anything special, all Audis have tel+, tel- and a mute lead input. You connect the phone kit to that.

The RNS-E is the DVD navigation system, but you can the Audi phone prep if you have the Multi Function Steering Wheel.

Is there something technical i need to look for in the spec ofnew handsets?

Do I have the DVD nav system or another type (CD or such?) I dont have the multi function wheel, is that going to be a problem? is there any particular make I should be looking at?

Fair enough, that clears that one up, and may explain why it takes a year and a day calculating the route (by which time youve passed at least 3 junctions lol) whereas the dvd one in our mini is fairly instant
