I have a B4 S4 with bose and I see from previous threads I should be able to get a new style sat nav system to work on a retro fit, I just wondered as I am a chump with fat fingers if anyone could recommend a professional installer who could do this for me, presumably Audi would charge 2 arms and a leg?

I'm sure I'll be the first of many to reccomend Craig on here. He knows what hes doing both in fitting and vagcom coding the car to work with the nav.

I trusted him with my new S3 in fitting sat nav and then bluetooth phone prep. Excellent job and good prices too.

Cheers Craig, I wish I'd found you a couple of years ago, last time I tried this in a previous car I got a local fitter to do it, the unit worked for a week and then nearly set fire to the car!

Do you supply the headunit or do I have to source this, I've seen a few on fleabay, do they all have a tv function, do they have the memory card slots and do these enable you to just drag and drop mp3's onto a card, do they work with itunes style files? Also I have a parrott blutooth kit but presumably if you were doing that the same time I could save a few quid by getting you to do both.

Lots of questions, PM me if you prefer, also if you're in Manchester are you a happy man today or not?

I supply everything in my installs, that way I can waarnty the work for 12 months.

TV button, functionality is dependant on having a TV tuner, cables and antenna, so out of the box no.

All RNS-E's have the SD card MP3 slots. I don't think they work with Itunes files, MP3 or WAV only I think. But you can put around 500 tracks on each card (max 4GB)

Parrot BT will work ok, but I recommend the Audi BT kit, costs more but is well worth it.

I don't follow football, so don't care who wins what.

Craig

Good answers on all Craig especially the football! I had a A6 not long ago on loan and that had the bluetooth it worked very well, so are the units you supply brand new and do they come with a disk? the only reason I ask is I am in Milton Keynes and have a contact at VAG head office who says he can get me one trade price (this could be pub talk).

If you do supply whats the cost for sat nav and bluetooth fitted (PM me on this if you want).

I can definately recommend the Audi BT kit - well worth the money.

I can also recommend Craigs work, very professional.

Craig - any news on my AV input yet?

Cheers

Paul

Hi Paul, emailed you last night, I have the new disk for you, but the AV inputs are still unavailable. I have 5 on back order now.

S8Craig took care of this for me today, only had a brief play but very impressed so far, Cheers Craig!

s8craig,

just a quickie. i have a 1998 pre facelift a4 with a single din concert head unit, can the rns-e be retrofitted to this, i know if it does it will require new aircon controls etc.

if so, what sort of price are we talking for you to do?

thanks in advance.

ooh, sounds like it maybe tricky, thanks anyway, i think i'll go aftermarket solution.
