hi guys wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction my rs6 is in a bad way it wont go over 70mph and runs awful it went to audi and they didnt no what the problem was then they said needs 2 new turbo's and an ecu.previously it showed a fault on the lambda also and on another fault check showed over boosting.basically im in surrey and want to no where is best to take the car it had an upgrade at amd but now they have swapped hands they dont seam to want to touch the car.i need to sort this problem asap but not many people seem to be able to look at it can u give me some options please????

Was it a main dealer who told you needs a set of turbos and ecu?
Sounds strange..how long have you had the fault for?

THere are fuel issues at the moment SE and killing Lambda probes..so back track when you last filled her up and what fuel and station you used

It could also be something as simple as the MAF sensors.

Unplug them both and see what happens..you can get to the plugs down the back..or get an Audi bod to do it.

How old is your car..you got warranty??

no warrenty mate had the car 3wks been using bp and esso fuel the car seemed fine for the first week then it done this thing once or twice now its all the time it was a main audi dealership.i no its not the turbo's but u no what main dealers are like if it is over boosting its gonna b some sort of leak or actuater problem i ashume where do i find these plugs then mate how much is a maf is there 2?

thanks for your reply also its a 2003.do u no if its possible to change the lambda's with the engine in?

whats the power delivery of the car like ?

well at first i thought it might b something to do with the fueling it was booked into amd for the ecu upgrade and exhaust etc so went ahead with that hoping it might fix it or they would spot it but it got worse as times gone by

sometimes it goes like a 500hp car then the next minute it drives like a 50hp car it sometimes accelarates strong then goes completly flat

I'll take a pic of the plugs.
Sounds like MAF to me
Get some fault codes if you can..from the Audi dealer who looked at it

thanks mate a pic would be a great help how much are the maf's to buy? im trying to sort the codes out today

the mafs have been changed and still does it im still thinking its the lambda's the car isnt here so i cant look under the bonnet but can they b changed in situe or is it a massive job

can anyone give me some contact numbers of a good tuner who i can take the car to i need to get it fixed i havent drove the car for a month

MRC Banbury they will sort your car Lamdba probes are located in each down pipe i think same as all cars

cheers mate ill giv them a call im near guildford in surrey

lambda's are an easy chance but i herd on the rs6 its engine out is this true?????

thanks mate done a post on there, cudnt view your second link though

dude im in surrey and I have to say the place I will be taking mine back to is the Audi main dealer in walton-on-Thames they look after you very well and stuff as I told Marmite when they dropped it back, they just did my suspension an stuff, Neil the Service Manager was great.

Sounds exactly like what mine did, they should be able to diagnose it if they have any idea what they are doing, sounds like 2 turbo's to me, its probably your wastegate diaphragm thats gone, to replace that they replace the whole turbo, and when they replace one turbo you have to replace both or they will be out of balance.

£4000-5000 it cost the warranty to do mine.

Take it to a proper Audi garage that knows what they are doing though and get it diagnosed PROPERLY first.
