Having enjoyed my S3 for a trouble free year with only the expense of super unleaded (lots of it) the time has come to spend some cash on maintenance.

I will sort out the service next month but tommorrow i must buy 4 new tyres.

What is the best compromise between cost, handling, comfort and durablility for the standard Avus wheels.

Also any good suppliers/fitters in the Bexley/Dartford area??

:sos:

goodyear eagle f1 are the favourite. need to change mine soon currently on toyo.

F1's for me... but they did wear out a bit quicker than the ones audi put on when i bought the thing.

mate said he got 4moths and 5k miles out of a front set!!

No thanks, toyo for me!

my P-Zero's have last about 10k and have about 4-5mm left on them, they do understeer in the wet alot though

:wtf: You serious?

yea, im pretty sure he is.....

i personally never thought id say this, having run falkens on my mini, and found them AWFUL.

i recently needed to replace two of my michelin PS2's, and fancied a change. so i took a gamble based on info id read on here, and went for a pair of falken FK452's

im REALLY impressed with them, the grip seems very good, turn in feels somehow sharper with the falkens. traction wise id rate them up there with the michelins easily, they look good with nice square shoulders, and generally seem like a great tyre!

I've not got them but my brother has and he rates them better than the Toyo's he had before.

Just got 2 new Eagle F1 s last week to replace front 2 from event tyres who come out to you and fit which is convenient and not much more expensive then mytyres or blackcircles

Thanks for all your advice. Got 4 Eagle F1's all fitted and balanced etc for £395 which seemed to be about £100 cheaper than the others mentioned. They look really cool with directional tread. Too early to say about handling but the ride is definately harder than the Pirelli Pzeros that were on

Good choice mate, I have these and found them better than the Dunlop 9000 sports!
