I don't want to overstep any mark here or cause any arguement, but why was the thread titled "what would you do?" locked?
We all know what he's been asked to do is illegal, but nobody was encouraging him to do it, infact much the opposite.
As I said, I'm not trying to overstep any marks or questioning moderators or anything, just curoius.

I suppose the Moderators don't want to take the chance of someone seeing it and coming to the wrong conclusion, by assuming people are giving advice on how to break the law.

If that's the case, then that's fair enough, be nice for a mod to come on and say why.....

Feel free to address me directly as I was obviously the moderator that locked it.

I locked it before it got out of hand. What he was asking is illegal. The forum is judged on it's contents and I thought the best option was to lock the thread.

J,

No hard feelings guys, it's all good. I was a bit surprised to find it locked but I can see why, just wanted to say thanks for those who gave me some helpful feedback, bottom line is I don't think I'm letting him jump on my bandwagon so its all good, CLEAN LICENSE here I come :beerchug:

J,

I couldn't remember who had locked it and was being far too lazy to go back and look :)

What he was asked to do was illegal yes, but asking for peoples advise isn't. Everybody on here seems reasonably sensible  and gave him good advice (thankfully!).
I can understand why you locked it as you didn't want it to turn for the worse and I respect that, although I think it was a little harsh maybe?

Anyways, as I said at the start, I don't want to question the mods on here as you all seem to do an A1 job and run a good, friendly forum. :icon_thumright:

I think it was a 'bad call' ,,,,,, we're all supposed to be grown ups, and we don't need the 'Nanny State' on AS Net .....!!

There's nothing illegal about discussing if you should break the law........ Or is there....???

this had been talked about in great length in another thread which from memory did get out of hand slightly

To throw my hat into the ring, I think the mods did the right thing in locking the thread. Please don't take this the wrong way defratos, but conspiring to commit fraud in a public forum isn't a particularly smart thing to do.

Again I am with the mod's on this one. Although it is only being discussed it is illegal and the site runners need to keep their noses clean.

To be fair lads/ladies thats the first post I can remember being locked since I have joined the fourm.

920 Posts and that's the first one you've seen locked? Do you post with your eyes closed? :)

Ok, just a little banter mate :icon_thumright:
There has been one or two, I don't have a problem
with it at all. Just didn't think that one was going to bad as all the advice was positive. But I respect why it was done

:end_of_discction: LOL.

(That smiley is stupidly large!)

can i lock this now ?
