What BMW should I buy?

yeah and it dont involve Audi so keep your knickers on Audi sport girls...

I have a test drive for a Z4 3.0si Coupe and a 330d saloon.

Totally different cars but practicality comes back everytime; what with not fitting my and my partners snowboards in the Z4 that is numero 1 problemo.

numero 2 is that the other half thinks the 330d is more for her which brings me to numero 3 problemo... how to tell the other half that it dont matter what she looks like driving it as well, its my car choice :eek:(

anyways similar in performance and the 330d will eat the Z4 3.0si alive once remapped... your opinions are welcome. And no Audi does not come into the equation as there is nothing in the Audi range for me that I like...
 
you talking about the new 3 series?

if so, 3 series and m sport kit in the purple colour mmmmmmmmm i like!!
 
I drove a 3.0 Z4 and loved it, sounded great from inside and out.

I'd have it every day......
...if only i didnt need a boot and diesel economy. Driven an old shape 330d and power wise its ****** fast.

But you know you really want the Z4 dont you. I would.
 
I drove a customers car when I used to sell cars and it was a 330d they shift BIG TIME! With a chip i think they would be seriously seriously quick. I just think the Z4 would get on your tits after a while.
 
audi upgrades
330d is the only choice, the z4 even in M guise screams hairdresser whenever they drive past, and as the other poster says, maybe stretch to the 335, I think it has 280+ bhp...
 
Z4 I love and really want even though I felt a complete **** sitting in it.
330d I like and is far more practical.

Z4 sport has all the additional standard extras like leather interior, tunnel lights, cruise Ctrl, air con, 17" alloys, de-fogging mirrors, light packs...the list goes on where as the BMW 330d Sport has enough additional extras as standard to get my mouth watering but lacks the cows back as standard... I really want leather in my next car...so I think I have some sweet talking to do to BMW Odiham to get he 330d the way I want it for the price I want...

Defrastos: You're correct mate, the 335si has two turbos, one small for low down and one mother of a beast for top end range - but I want to sleep at night knowing I can afford the fuel for it so thats a no no... :)
 
Why not try and get somewhere in between...... maybe 330D coupe? You'll still be pretty practical with that.

Then......... **** off to a BMW forum :bye: :)
 
I would say none you will get that stigma that goes with BMWs people will think you are a knob and a have a small penis and the likes.........oops you drive one aready:) :)

330d but everybody would think you are an a-sehole like most bmw drivers why not wait to see what the new audi a5 is like

well...

They had both the cars ready Friday late afternoon then someone bought the BMW 330d M Sport late in the evening over the phone!!!

They offered the drive in the Z4 but I really wanted to test drive them together so I have re-booked for the weekend of the 3rd/4th March (after my snowboarding holiday)... Will let you know the outcome :)

I actually drove past the local BMW dealer today who had a Z4 coupe on prominent display. I still can't decide whether I like it or not. The front is an improvement on the Z3 but for now, it would still have to be the 3 series.
 
It's just a newer version of the Z3.

My mum drives a Z3, nuff said.

There is a new Z4 comming out as far as i know so if you got one now it would be hold at soon!
 
I ve driven the 330d a number of times. Great car, nice drive and good performance and mpg. I just don t like the off set pedals and steering wheel.

Really? They've only just done a revamp and introduced the new 3.0litre lump and the coupe was only realised a few months ago!
