Climate Control Unit

Hi all,

So I've currently got in my A3 8P1 (2011 1.6) a rotary 3 dial climate control unit (one dial for temperature, one for speed of fan, one for position of air? e.g. towards windscreen or feet etc.)

How would I go about changing it to the more modern looking one with a LED etc.

Or even its Q3 counterpart?

Would it be an easy job? What would I need to do? Does the fact that this one has separate controls for the passenger + driver make a difference?

Any advice will help!!

Your 3 dial system is just manual air con. Whereas the modern looking one is dual zone climate control.

No idea on whether you could swap or not.

Now i don't know if you would be able to change your CC for the Cool Q3 one but there is a big long thread about retro fitting the Q3 one if by any chance you can change it just pop Q3 CC into search function on site and you will find .

I've tried looking for it but can't find anything :-(
