New S6 Avant order

A 2 year old e63 was on my list. But it is the old model and already out of date. The interior is dated as well. As an overall ownership prospect the s6 ticked all the boxes. Just need to wit and see if it does stack up to be what I want. (If it ever gets to me, its in the country but not at the dealership)
 
What you looking for in car must haves and dealbreakers

Just been out in an E43, I’m shocked, I really like it, I know it’s not a full fat AMG more a skimmed version, but it does the job really well and love the red and black interior.
Tech wise it’s leagues ahead than on the C7.
I wouldn’t rule it out, it’s discrete which is what i want....I could be nudging more towards that, even if it’s the little brother

Big key for me for a car is big enough for family, tow bar and Adaptive cruise...and goes well and stealthy

But I might of found a new s6....decisions

Budget about 50k

C63s or the new one anyway is waay out of budget plus no tow bar option
Porsche almost asked me to leave when I asked about towbars on a Pan GTS hahah, BMW’s I struggle to get excited about as good as the 540 engine is.

Still waiting a call back on the possible new S6’s, fingers crosses

Haven’t 100% decided yet
Probably black, tech pack advanced, LED matrix and CarPlay.
I do fancy the speed limit camera and the interior LED’s also
Just trying to arrange a dealer visit

I ordered mine on Sunday the 17th December. It will be with the dealer late tomorrow so they will register it on Wednesday.

I've asked them to leave the delivery film on and to not to go any where near it with a buck and sponge :) Its going into my regular detailers Friday for the weekend and back to me Sunday night.

Boring question, what quotes have people had for servicing for it?

I’m surprised insurance is as cheap as it is though

Ta, I’ll see what they sting you for in a car under 3 years.
You do have to laugh at some of those prices, from what I know the A6/A7 is basically the same, except A7 prices on there are higher!

Would expect this to be one of the last S6s and you will almost certainly have to take delivery before 1st September as Audi will not want to incur the costs of certifying old models to the emissions and unless the giver changes it current stance it will not be possible for cars to be sold after 1/9 unless they have the new certification. Article on Autocar.co.uk today speculating that there will be lots of deals to shift non certified stock before September and also the reason why the SQ5 is currently unavailable to order

Tried and tried, got the call yesterday “no more orders”....again, so sulking
And contemplating what to do, had a good blast in the bitdi Sunday in the dry and enjoyed myself so will probably hang on until something really grabs me like the s6 did, or RS6’s become less of a crim-magnet, which will be never lol

I have seen an approved s7 with the right kit but not got that feeling that makes me want to force the dealer my deposit, I like my avant, and we’ll specced s6’s are rare, hmmm

That's a shame, I would go for an RS6 if I was you don't let the crims stop you having what you want. That's what GAP insurance is for.

Mine is schedule for build next week, just hope it doesn't get delayed by the phone box issues that others on here have reported.

Hey yeah thanks for the compliment this is my car. It's APR stage 1 now and has had a few more mods since. Stage 2 happening in about 2 weeks. I removed all resonators since so it's even better.

I was considering the 3.0tfsi A6 with the supercharged S4 engine but couldn't seem to find any avants for sale. Love the A6 interior and space.

I'll give ya a wave if I see you driving around down the coast ️

What exhaust mods is that? Is that with just the front res delete or all boxes removed? Mines having the front res delete when I get back in the uk in a couple of weeks.

Crims stealing it doesn’t bother me, it’s the method of stealing that tbh scares the crap out of me.
A car just getting pinched from the drive I can live with, it’s the breaking into the house / threatening family for keys/code or car jacking that does. Ok these methods are rare but seems the choice way to get RS’s
Maybe one day
