Gap Insurance for noob!

Definitely avoid buying it from the dealer... £500 is absurd, though your posts suggests it might have been £500 per year!!? If that's the case £500 per year is outrageous!

If the vehicle is brand new, you should really look at Replacement GAP insurance rather than Invoice GAP insurance (the former looks to pay up to the cost of replacing the vehicle with a new equivalent at the time of claim, the latter is just about getting you back to the price you originally paid after discount).

I have mine with GAPinsurance.co.uk - you could do far worse than check them out... though there are a number of other providers too.
