2006/56 S3 for Sale

does it say what extra's it has?

its a special colour so they might think it would be more appealing

imo the orange has been done - belongs to the ST focus

stupid of audi i think ruining an S3 in chav orange - even though i like the orange st :S

It could be an ex-demo, thrashed to within an inch of its life probably.

Most of the dealer cars will be spec'd with RNS-E, Bose, flat steering wheel and metallic/pearl paint. So list will be around £30k

No way in a million years I'd be paying £30k for an ex-demo with 5k miles on it I'm afraid......

i retract my statement - looks fantastic lol but i wouldnt pay that for an ex-demo

it doesnt have silver interior trim??

it will have been thrashed for those 5k miles and i doubt the engine has ever been warmed properly!

I suppose it's the old supply and demand thing.
If you want one now, there's your answer.
Otherwise,wait 3 months (or whatever).

I don't go for this 'thrashed' thing.
If it's been treated like a stolen car, being revved off the limiter in neutral, treated to 1000 handbrake turns or driven over waste ground to escape the police, then I probably would walk away.

If it's merely been driven hard, where's the harm.
It is sold as a performance car, after all.

There have been several threads lately that would make anyone think Audis are particularly fragile and susceptible to problems if driven hard, which confuses me.

I bet there's not a single person on here that could tell a 'thrashed' one from a mollycoddled one,in a 'blind' test.
My car doesn't drive any differently from any other one I've driven and mine is driven harder than most.
The fact is uses oil is neither here nor there.
It's done that from new,not since I started driving it hard.

I also don't believe anyone can thrash a car with 300bhp on UK roads.
I live in the North East of Scotland, where your only threat on open roads is deer/sheep,and you find yourself backing off with 140bhp,never mind more !
Anyone that says they can constantly use 300bhp is,IMO,a dreamer.
Short doses only,I bet.

I have seen the way at least one of the guys from there "test drove" a 3.2v6 A3 after its service. I wouldn't be too keen to spend nearly 30k on a car that has been treated like that for 5k miles. Plus Hatfield Audi use to be owned by HR owen, so everything is priced over the odds.IMO

All mechanics thrash cars,it's in their nature.
If you're interested,go look at it.
Common sense will prevail.
If the front tyres have been replaced, ask why at only 5000 miles.
If it's the OE tyres, they should only be half worn at most.
It'll come with a warranty anyway,so I don't see the problem really,if you really want one.

My only worry would be that it's been thrashed from cold, which I assume is pretty commonplace on a demonstrator, but I imagine with an S3 they wouldn't provide unaccompanied test drives anyway.

I tend to agree with you on this, but what I find confusing is that you drive a 2 stroke A3, is that a special order one then?:lmfao:
