I asked the Dealer to the leave the car 'as is' other than to remove all the transport film, which is part of the PDI, which they did
My car was filthy ! It was covered in a layer of muck with adhesive all over the place

As collected -

I did find a little marring on the bonnet & ROS door which were easy enough to remove

Thought I would try some 'old school' products on this Detail. I've used these before on one of my cars but it was some time ago TBH

All the remaining transport film/plastic seat coverings removed from the exterior and interior

@Bristle Hound

Wow what a transformation :icon thumright:

Why the hell was the interior footwell so muddy lol :blink:

Great job on the whole car though and VERY thorough multi-stage process :yes:

It is a great looking car and all buffed up looks very sharp :sunglasses:

Like I mentioned I think you will have fun & enjoy this car - all that BHP through the front wheels will feel very powerful.

We had a Scirocco R with 260 BHP and that felt like a bullet so yours with 300 bhp will be mega.

Whilst you don't get the grip of a quattro car - and you have to feather the power in wet / damp conditions - the payback is a lighter car with a 'surge' of power. Quattro cars are very linear in their power delivery and the car accellerates flat.

So yes you will have fun ... but also be warned, you may shred front tyres very quickly lol :)

@Pinky1959 - Thanks :thumbs up:
The garages belong to my neighbours
I used my next door neighbours drive for the photo's as the light is better on theirs than mine lol

@Snake Pliskin - Thanks for you kind words buddy :thumbs up:
Dirty footwell down to the Dealer & no dealer prep me thinks

Don't get me wrong I'll miss the quattro & the supercharger but I'm sure this car may suit my driving style more. We'll see ... lol
Hopefully it won't be too bad in the wet/damp as it has the same 'trick' front diff that the Golf GTI Performance Pack. Time will tell my friend :thumbs up:

Ah right if it has a diff fitted then that will help you to get the power down much better.
The Roc R had no aids lol so was a bit skittish in the wet for lighting up the front tyres:)
Yes I am sure it will be blast so enjoy it fella :icon thumright:
After having 2 x TT's then the S5 I am thoroughly enjoying the practicality of a useable 5 door hatch and although you had a 4 door S4 I am sure yo uwill still appreciate the Cupra in this regard too.

Some good deals kicking around on PCH, the good thing with them is you know exactly where you stand. Pay your money and switch at the end, no messing around trying to get the best price for yours as a px...looking at doing that myself. Saw one yesterday Polo GTi+ £700 down and then £240 per month.

Cool ... that is a nice length of time to have a car :icon thumright:

You can almost start planning your next one in just over 12 months lol :)
@Snake Pliskin - Cheers
& funnily enough thats what our son said lol

The wife's PCH is up at the end of September for her 5 door Cooper S MINI & she's started looking already lol
She fancies (so far) a 3 door SEAT Ibiza FR petrol, but not 'in that blue' - the cheek of it ! lol

That's a shame ... you could of had "mystery fleet" :sunglasses: :bluecar: :bluecar: :sunglasses:

ooooh the Mini Cooper S could be a tricky car to replace.

You can't beat car shopping though can you ... very enjoyable :)

Love the Cooper S, but I think it may be a tad too small for me as I'm 6ft1 and a bit :p

Saw this the other day...the price can't be right...can it??? https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201803154605423

@Snake Pliskin - If we get a deal on the Ibiza I'll be pushing for a 'mystery fleet' ;):D
Very true my friend. The engine in the Cooper S, 2 litre turbo petrol, is a real peach :thumbs up:
SWMBO doesn't really know what she wants at the mo so it should be interesting lol

@jassyo06 - Thanks mate :thumbs up:

TBH I'm sick of trying different tyre dressings that never make the grade for me, so given up with the experimentation with these
So I'm sticking with the first one I used when I 'properly' started this car detailing malarchy, Megs endurance tyre gel

Told you it was a bit of an 'old skool' detail lol

Saw the write up on DW - how much difference did the Blacklight make do you think? I am entering my second new car detail in 4 months (hopefully this time at better than 2 degrees C) at the w\e and think this may work well with the Panther Black?

@Evil Diesel - I've used CG Blacklight before, admittedly some time ago mind. On this detail I used it as a glaze
Its a nice product to work with & gives a great finish
The trick with using it I've found is less is more
If you already have the product use it is my advice

@Chris S 1245 - Cheers Chris :thumbs up:
Like you say the wait times are a bit crazy but it timed just right for me TBH

Haven't got any but probably worth getting some in - the Mrs has a phantom black A3 and I am going into panther - a specialist black glaze appears highly appropriate!
