Facelift Post Pics Of Your Facelift RS3 8V In Here

Harsh! As you say, your opinion, but I think Nardo with Black optics look amazing

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not harsh at all just my personal preference, Nardo is a extremely marmite colour and if you think it's amazing looking your in the minority

It’s good to see people receiving their cars, my original rs3 saloon order arrived at the dealers this week and they’re using it now as a showroom model, it’s in viper green. Hoping to pop by some point this week and have a look. It’s at the Lincoln dealership if anyone is local.

When you say your original order - what happened there then ?

You had to order a 2nd car for some reason ?

The harsh comment was followed by a smiley face. In the minority but a lot of people go for it, Nardo that is. I personally would always go black, just like my Q5 in mythos I am collecting on Saturday, or Daytona. Sadly I need more practicality still, but would love a RS3 or similar one day. Maybe RSQ5 in a couple years, assuming Audi release one, which I am hopeful they will.

Anyway, getting back in my minority box

I would have specced Nardo even if it were a paid for option, I love it. But I really like grey on cars anyway. I like the crayon colour on Porsches too.

Going on about colors is always going to be a personal preference and we shouldn't therefore judge others for theirs.

My contract at work lapsed, and the new terms weren’t as good as they were before so had to compromise and get an s3 instead

Ah right I see. Hey the S3 is still a superb car. Have you got it or when do yo get that and what spec / colour ?
The S is the sweetspot in the Audi range. I've had a TTS and S5 before the RS3 and yes the RS is ace but I would happily have an S again .. & probabaly will next :icon thumright:

Nardo has to be one of the most popular RS colours, surely?

Its the cheapest, my guess is that helps with the overall budget!
I don't accept that's the reason. Someone spending £50k+ on an RS model isn't going to let £500 for different paint get in the way of choosing something they'd prefer.

I'm obviously biased but I think my TT in Nardo with black pack looks sensational. I've had plenty of admiring glances and comments from people.

Yeah I'd agree, I doubt people buying such an expensive and performance car would pick the free option if they didn't like it...

I like Nardo also..

Nardo was the best of what was to choose from IMO other than forking out 2k on an Audi exclusive colour. I’d sepang had been in there, I’d have gone for that over Nardo, but as Doc says, Nardo with the black pack looks the business

I really like nardo too - and I did originally spec my car in that colour.

The only thing that niggles me is when I see a Skoda in nardo and then its filtered into other brands too and as most colours has lost its exclusivity.

These unique colours don't stay that way long do they.

For whatever reason I do think nardo also suits the face lift more for whatever reason - particularly the saloon.

Well said! I remember when Nardo was an option on the RS6, have always loved it, but like other comments, I am a fan of greys and blacks. Funny enough my wife thinks Nardo looks like primer, again others have said this, all very personal. But as you say, when spending £50k+ on a car you are not going to settle for a free colour.

Nardo + black pack looks awesome, everyone knows that! RS only colour too.

I chose it as the other colours are available on all other models for peanuts hence you'll see lots of them. Not many will stump up over £2k for Nardo on the "lesser" models thus it remains a rare choice.

Awful primer grey !

Each to their own.

Personally I like greys just not Nandos! Or the usual Daytona, as everyone's got it.

VW used to do a lovely dark graphite grey, would of had that if it was available without paying +2000.

Nardo looks terrible with Alu styling pack...it just washes out. Looks very different with black pack. Also, not the best colour in direct sunlight. But on the whole it's great. If ever you're in my area then feel free to pop by so I can change your mind!

Agreed, Nandos doesn't look bad on the Rs3 with black pack.

I just couldn't pick it for myself, even though it's free if I had to have grey it would be Daytona.

FS - everyone just drive their car and stop bleating about other people's colour/spec choices, we're not on a Clio forum, are we?

Nardo all day long... whether it was a paid option or not :icon thumright:

Bit pointless arguing about colour though... everyone has a different taste so not everyone’s going to agree on any one colour

If people are saying Nardo is becoming more common on other cars and that’s the problem... well, every other car you see on the road is silver isn’t it haha

btw... it looks sweet there :icon thumright:

Did you paint your alloys black yourself? I was looking at what different alloys people have put on their FL RS3's and found these. Some are pretty bad though.

They are some bad alloys!

On the way down the M23 tonight while I was in the fast lane I saw two cars come up behind me; so I accelerated away - no problem. Then slowed down to change lanes so they could go past.

One of the cars had a different idea and as I was slowing down accelerated and cut across me which was dangerous. I noticed he was going to do that so put my foot on the accelerator but despite having the legs on him (in a Golf R) I didn't think he was really aware of what car I was driving and would have driven into me if I didn't let off. He sped off over 1oomph and I did stay behind him for maybe 10 seconds but then decided to just let him go.

I like the Golf R - I had one - but I won't deny I wanted to put him in his place as I could have easily gone past him but it was stupid and dangerous so I didn't.

Had my car washed today - noticed scratches on front and rear bumpers - obviously from people who can't park without hitting the person near them. The back has a small chip to the paint and I will get a pen to fill it in but I just don't understand how people can have so little care for their own car (to hit me) and for others. They shouldn't be allowed to drive. Idiots.

NICE :icon thumright:

What are your thoughts between the RS3 and the R? They are the two cars catching my attention at the minute.

I've had both. Golf R was more nimble than my PFL although the FL much more like the Golf R in handling terms. However, the Golf has a boring interior and very ordinary engine/exhaust note. The RS3 is another level in this regard and I just preferred it so much more.

I sold my PFL RS3 and bought a FL R in Atlantic Blue, loved it the only downside is 4 pot noise which isn’t very good (a Res delete helped a little).
However the lure of the new 5 pot was too much so went back to the RS 3 after 6 months
