Have an odd one.
2010
2.0 tfsi
Have driven the wife to work this morning through city center traffic , stop start working as I would expect .

Come back to drop my son off at school and get a message on the screen saying battery level low will charge whilst driving

Go on to the level indicator and only have one bar of charge !
Car starts as it should and drives fine
Don’t have any warning lights on the dashboard

Going to take it on a run shortly but any one had this before ?

I have had that before when starting my new battery in the really cold weather, but never saw it again and had cleared after my short 3 miles drive.
A4 was the same year so maybe its the cold taking its toll and time to replace yours too.. strange it would come up after driving for a while rather than sitting, go kiwik fit for a test to see if it still holds charge maybe.. if it doesnt thats a relief and not a concern, if it passes then alternator is not happy, but given age and weather more likely a knackered battery taking a beating from the cold :)

oh thinking about it, stop start is a real strain on the battery, if its nearing end of life makes sense to happen after lots of stop start driving :)

If the battery health is low and/or the charge level is low, the stop/start function should be getting inhibited to allow the battery to support the car and maybe even recover if it is just low on charge.

Battery shouldn’t be low on charge for no reason, so either something is faulty or has been left on etc, draining the battery, or the battery is faulty and the cold weather has shown it up, keep an eye on it and be prepared to buy a new battery

Most likely the latest cold snap exposing the battery getting weaker. I've got a similar issue with mine. This is where I regret building all my air ride install on top of the battery....

Not sure what is going on !
Took it for a good drive Friday and got it back up to 100%

Is now down to 70% rising to 80% on my journey to work and the stop start is working as I would expect it!

Your Battery is 8 years old.
It's time to replace it before it lets you down. All the signs are there, this is what happens.

Be aware "AGM" Battery is around the £200 mark (£350 at the dealers).

Search AGM 019 or VARTA G14

You have stop/start on a 2010 model? I didn't realise it had been around that long.

Nice to see that you are viewing the world through your "S4-tinted spectacles"! :)
Stop/start wasn't introduced for the 3.0 engines until the facelift, but cars with smaller engines had it sooner.

I really thought stop/start as a "thing" was more recent than 2010, across all manufacturers. Oh well, every day's a school day.:)

Hum, and I'd bet that I'd be paying a lot less in road tax as that should have pulled it down enough in the emissions stakes!
