I know this might sound like a stupid question but nobody including people at Audi can come up with an answer.
At tickover in dynamic, should they be open? I've tried re-cycling the modes after start up.
If they should, do they then close on pull away and reopen at 3k?
Mine are closed at tickover and i don't believe they open on the move either.
Remember, this is just on manuals as s-tronics are different.
Thanks....

In manual! But I really couldn't be ***** or bothered either way.

They open and close, if not there ****** !

Why is this so important to you ?

Mines a manual...
I don't think mine are open at idle but i can hear a definite note change at 2800-2900 rpm. Try getting into 6th on a motorway and accelerate quite hard through that range and it should be easily noticeable.

I’ve left mine in dynamic for a week or so and the permanent ones are starting to soot up now but the other 2 are pretty soot free. I don’t belive they are working at all.

You might just be hearing the speaker noise generator unless you've got it switched off via the VCDS box of tricks.

Mines a manual, and I've never noticed a difference TBH. It certainly doesn't get louder (that I can tell) in Dynamic mode.

Just bought some valve plug shorting plugs, leave the valves open 24/7

After about 500 miles of mixed driving on dynamic all 4 pipes are a very similar shade of soot!

Why not just get someone to hold it over 3000 rpm in neutral and see what's coming out of the outer pipes. Hold some paper over it or something .

It needs to be under load i think, I've got a res delete so i'd of thought i'd notice the difference in modes.

I have a Milltek for sale ! Haha

My son complains on how loud it is in the back when we go out in the car, so just going to put the standard one back on for now.

It's just going to be sat in the garage so thought I'd sell it. Not as much interest in it as I'd thought !

What sort of cash you looking for. What model is it for, which tail pipes? Is it resonated?
