RS5 Newbie and tuning advice

Hey all

For 6 months i have owned my amazing RS5 MY15.

However being a petrol head and a range of other cars and track cars, i want to a little more to the RS5.

Can i have any recomendations on mapping and items.

Also being a lover of the V8 noise and the upgraded sports exhaust does a remap REVO etc.. Make that noise more ?

Many thanks for the lovely welcome. I will definitely drop rick a call on monday. Here is MY15 RS5 at present its a stock but pretty loaded with any extra from the factory.

However i will play with it! Remap first then some intakes and exhausts.

Sorry to break this to you but... the V8 is normally aspirated and pretty well tuned from factory. All the remaps I've seen only give +10-20hp which is negligible. To get significantly better you need to bolt a supercharger on which isn't cheap (£20k was the last I saw with APR) and there aren't many of them about due to the costs involved.

But speak to Rick and see what he says.

Yes i pretty much know all about the V8 and given i have a few turbo cars I have a good understanding.

The map is about releasing some more torque more than the infamous BHP. As well as possiblly dropping some more tunes out the rear from the V8.

May go for the full package in a bit a kind of like the idea of having one few around. I spent close to £30k on my tracked impreza so if its worth it i may go for it. I will wait to see what rick says.

JH Motorsports is about to release a tune for the RS5. I would hold off a bit and see what they’ve come up with. One of their reps said we’d be very happy with the results. They just released a 2.75” valved exhaust and have plans for a centeifugal supercharger. APR never came through with their kit (so therefore they suck).

There’s one other company doing a roots-type in the engine vee that looks very well thought out. This is the S5 version. https://www.fastaudi.com/store/AMD-S5-Supercharger-Kit-p56360214
